We have eaten at the Olympia Tea Room twice once for lunch and once for an early dinner. We went to lunch two years ago expecting a tea room atmosphere. It turned out to be more like the neighborhood pub. Upon reading the history of the restaurant we came to the conclusion it had a name change during prohibition to... More

This restaurant has been in Watch Hill since ice was a nickel. Comfy, cozy, locals and tourists coexist.

Dining in the Southern Rhode Island/Connecticut vacation area is rich in competition. The Olympia Tea Room while serving good food is not one of the best. We found the food good not great, the environment dark and dated, and the cost very high. There are much better choices in the area.

This is a laid back restaurant where one can relax and enjoy a pleasant lunch or dinner. We had the mussels, lamb, tuna, lobster roll. All was very fresh and tastey with attentive service. If you like, you can sit outside and enjoy people watching and the little harbor.

This restaurant is the only one in town and that's the only reason it's still in business. The building is beautiful and historic, the views are great, but the food is disappointing. It could be a GREAT place because it is the only restaurant in town, but the food is overpriced and not worth the wait. The steak is decent... More

I highly recommend this restaurant. It has a full bar with quality wine choices. The presentation is as amazing as the flavors of the dish. The view of the sunset in the harbor can be breathtaking.

I guess I'm lucky as I didn't experience the long wait as in the summer - I had lunch here in early October, no waiting. Very nice staff and lunch was excellent - a good menu it was hard to choose. WIll definitely be back.

Visit during the week. The weekends get crazy, and I would not say the restaurant is worth the wait. It is certainly worth a visit, especially with the sun setting just across the road. Decent food, decent service, and you can eat inside or out.

Strolled in on a Saturday night expecting a long wait, and by the time we got a glass of wine at the bar, the table was ready. Interesting food choices, exceptional service. We would definitely come back.

OK, it is the only game in this tiny town and the wait can be long, the room too noisy and crowded. It's the beach. The salads are perfect, especially the good ol lettuce wedge w bacon and blue cheese. The Mojitos were fresh and awesome. BUT the lobster roll, OMG!!! It still haunts my dreams...on a grilled, buttered croissant!... More
