Stopped in to the Olympia Tea Room on Sept. 12, 2014 for a late lunch. They had a brand new menu for Fall and was pleasantly surprised by how great everything was. Very well made cocktails; had salads for starters- very fresh and nicely dressed. We split the fish and chips which can be ho-hum, but not here. So good!!... More

We come here whenever we come to Rhode Island. The room is beautiful, the booths easily big enough for 3 or 4... Lots of locals, with the owner floating around and greeting all of us, even though it wasn't a weekend. My husband had the special half lobster with beans, corn and brussels sprouts... Gorgeous on the plate, fabulously good!... More

The clam chowder was delicious and my friend was pleased with her seared tuna dish. I complained about the greens that accompanied my scrod sandwich. They were wilted and dry. All they needed was a refreshing rinse and spin! The dressing was uninspired. Our waiter was very obliging. I would go there again, but it's the luck of the draw.

We have been going here for years, but this past year we had several experiences where the food, the drinks and the service have all gone downhill. Read a few of the other recent reviews - I see those of us who have been going here for years are noticing the difference. The whole experience here used to be very... More

My last experience at the Olympia Tea Room was really fun, great service, delicious food, and a lot of ambience. Just perusing the wine list and being seated at the appointed time was enough to start everything off on the right foot, to say nothing of the fact that everyone loved what they ordered. My compliments to the owners and... More

Really enjoyed our dinner at the bar in this established local place. Buzzy atmosphere. Great service. Delicious fish. Recommended

We arrived in Watch Hill after 7pm, and this was the last week in August, so Olympia was the only non-formal restaurant still open for dinner. We were a party of 7 and offered to split up--4 adults and 3 teens--but the hostess was quite snooty and said that was too much extra work(!) Fortunately the wait wasn't long and... More

My girlfriend and I chose the Olympia and walked in at the perfect time. Within minutes it was packed and the room was buzzing. Luckily, we had secured two seats at the bar. Our server, Tyler, was amazing. Handled the overflowing crowd with ease and composure and always made sure our drinks were full. Food was clean, simple and fresh.... More

If you are in the restaurant business, you should open in Watch Hill. Beautiful setting, nice people, and very limited options. We had high hopes for the Olympia and would have given it a decent rating, but the service blew it for me. The server acted as if she was doing us a favor by waiting on us and grew... More
