Nice bar, better than 'bar' food

We were in Warwick looking for a place to get a beer and watch the hockey game and found this place on Tripadvisor. Great find! There was a nice choice on tap and a bartender who was knowledgeable about all of the choices. We were in a seafood mood and shared the mussels, they were large and plump... read more

I had the shrimp cocktail with colossal shrimp, and the baked haddock with fresh haddock and the Ritz cracker crumb topping. Service was timed perfectly, prompt but not overbearing. The food was great.

Food is very good, but a little pricey. Atmosphere is great. Because I am from here I remember when this was part of the factory next door. This the name, because it was a factory for Malueable Iron.

Read the reviews and went for dinner. I had the clam chowder which at $8, I have had much better for less. It was just ok. I also had the bacon wrapped scallops which at $13 for an appetizer, was pricy. There were 4 medium size scallops which tasted good but overpriced. Another member in the party had a Caesar... More

Really great food here. I had a lobster roll and seafood soup. My father had a very nice salad and steak. Great wines. Got an apple dumpling tart that was wonderful for dessert. Would definitely come back to this restaurant next time I'm in town. The nearby hotels also give coupons for the place. Of note the coupons are only... More

We were excited to be back at the Iron Works. The food and service are wonderful. It is one of the best in Warwick. We look forward to a return. One interesting thing about the food is the variety of styles. Many times the food is expected. The Iron Works provides the unexpected as to items and sides.

We ate here on a Saturday evening and were very pleased with the atmosphere. It was early and the place was already filling in and it seems like a favorite among the locals. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was very good but a bit to salty for my taste. They used a type of breading on the... More

The prices are in line with a 4 star restaurant. I think it is because it is the only descent restaurant by the Hilton Garden Inn. They do have a happy hour where appetizers are 1/2 price. If you have to eat there, recommend the mushroom flatbread under appetizers during happy hours which is between 3&6 I think.

Rory C, Thank you for your review. Our Flatbreads are definitely a favorite here. Be sure to come back and try some of our other great items from our half priced appetizers the next time you are in town. Here is a piece of Warwick history you may enjoy--The Iron Works Tavern’s building dates back to 1918 and the Hilton... More

In the area for my son's basketball tourney. The food was amazing, atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable! Wish they were closer to home!

Hidden off the main drag of Post Road near Green Airport, you are in for a surprise at the Iron Works Tavern on Jefferson Blvd. The name can be a little misleading since it is more than a Tavern with their menu offering a good variety of foods reasonably priced. Bill, the Matre De, makes a point of greeting everyone... More
