At the Crowne Plaza - was best/close choice first night - liked it so much I went back 2nd night instead of traipsing into Newport. Food was all frsh and well prepared/presented. Need a few more aggressive NE brews on tap. I will be back.

I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn attached to the restaurant frequently and the restaurant is dark to see menu but nice bar ambiance. The food has your typical pub food dialed up a notch. Overall not bad but not exceptional restaurant. Good in a pinch when staying at a hotel. Had the flank steak which was good but smothered... More

We ate there once while we were in the area. The lobster roll was okay but doesn't measure up to that of other restaurants which serve the same type of food. The lobster seem to be ground up sort of like chicken or tuna salad. It did not have the chunks of lobster that I have found in other restaurants.... More

The food & service @ Iron Works Tavern is always good. Kenny @ the bar is a wonderful bartender. He knows the menu & makes a great drink. Great dining anytime during the week for lunch or dinner

We held our daughter's wedding reception upstairs. (It's beautiful) The service was very good, the food was excellent, and the space was perfect for a wedding of under 100 people. Sarah worked with us to make sure everything was perfect and they accommodated some unusual requests as well. The selection of passed appetizers was perfect. Short ribs and salmon were... More

Came back for the Rhode Island clam chowder and discovered it was taken off the menu. Big disappointment. Otherwise, a positive dining experience. Attentive wait staff, fair prices, good menu options, but it's lost its special draw for me.

Griffyn, Glad to hear you had an overall "positive dining experience" with us! Chef just revised our menu for the summer months and although the Rhode Island chowder was taken off, we did add our very popular New England Seafood Chowder! Come back in a try that along with many of our new items! More

This place was pretty good. I was a little thrown, because it says it's old, but the inside looks new but done in a way to look old. Also they were playing weird elevator music (maybe because it's connected to a hotel?). Service was good. The food was tasty. A little dedicated vegetarian section of the menu is always a... More

Great company cocktail party and dinner. Everybody had a fabulous time and Iron Works Tavern exceeded our expectations in every way. Great food and drinks, great service, and the absolute perfect room for our gathering. Now planning to do our company holiday party here too.

They have a great selection of veg and fish on the menu but even better they always have a daily vegetarian special! Its a little pricy for dinner but totally worth it. The service and quality of food is great!

Thank you Meghan M for the GREAT review! The Tavern menu also has a Quinoa dish that is very popular. The Vegetarian Entree is seasonally—and daily—inspired by local ingredients. Looking forward to your next visit and feedback More

picked this place sight unseen and was not disappointed. Needed a nice family dinner place after a day of pre-graduation festivities . Sarah helped me plan the menu, pick the room and saw that everything met our expectations. Food, drinks etc were all great. Everyone had lovely time. 3 rooms upstairs are for private parties. We had smallest room which... More

Ballstonlaker—thank you sharing your experience and happy to hear that your graduation celebration was a success. We were able to restore the original offices from the 1918 factory—which now helps us to accommodate smaller groups. The upstairs can accommodate groups from 16 to 80 for plated function and up to to 150 for cocktail reception style parties. Sarah’s attention to... More
