neighborhood restaurant

Restaurant is small with a comfortable neighborhood feel. The ambience is plain, but the seafood is excellent. Have tried fish and chips, clam chowder, stuffed quahogs, and clamcakes. All were of excellent quality.

Omg this place is da Bomb!! We have eaten here 4 x's I think now ( Yelp review too). That's how we found them after touring Colt State Park. We're jonsin' for some Seafood and stumbled upon them. They are a great family business. Mom still bakes the Portuguese bread every week! Their fish n chips, Calamari RI style is... More

Ordered a variety of items for take out, fish & chips were the best, other portions were kinda small. Got a large container of clam chowder, served 3 perfectly and was Very good. Service was pleasant.

Had fish and chips along with a half dozen of clam cakes. Small place with about six-eight tables. It was nothing fancy. Food was a bit better than average. Cole slaw serving was small. Tartar sauce was packaged. There were two large pieces of fish which were properly fried. Fish was flakey and fresh. Clam cakes were served steaming hot... More

We wanted authentic seafood like stuffies and clam cakes. We didn't want some hipster, ironic place "doing" seafood. We got exactly what we wanted. Between the 3 of us we had 2 types of chowder (both delicious), clam cakes, stuffies, lobster roll and fried clams (with bellies). Not a crumb was left, everything was just right. Including the friendly and... More

I have been visiting Amaral's for about twenty years and mainly order the Fish and Chips, their specialty. I usually go on Friday's, and call in my order ahead, so the wait is usually minimal. I recently went on a Saturday afternoon and they were much slower than Friday evenings. Over the past year or so, the portions have gotten... More

My family and I have been enjoying Amaral's for many years. My boyfriend and I work up the street from there and almost everyday he stops and grabs a bite to eat and brings me something as well. This little gem literally has the best everything! From their seafood dishes (which no one can compete) to their salads, sandwiches, and... More

Stopped for lunch with my wife and decided to try this well known seafood restaurant. Small family run business serving seafood and a small selection of other entrees. We had clear and red chowder, clam cakes and stuffies. Both chowders were well put together with just the right mix of broth, veggies, clams and potatoes. Stuffies were Portuguese style with added spices and... More

Food at Amarals is always delicious. Fish & Chips are our Friday meal & really enjoy it when we order from there. Also while there try their home made sweet bread, so fresh & delicious! If you order by phone & then pick up order, there's no wait. If you get in line to order, it moves along pretty fast... More

Service was great and food was the best I have had in this area. Fried lightly you can taste the fresh seafood. Priced reasonably family owned
