If there are better fried clams in New England, for any place else for that matter, I don't where they are and would like to find out. I've tried whole-belly fried clams up and down east coast, and there is nothing else to compare with the Amarals'. Perhaps the best crab cakes around Baltimore come in at the second spot.... More

I have been coming here since I was a kid (27 now) and remember when fish and chips were only $5! Over the years, the fish and chips is always excellent and fresh! They have great clamcakes as well! Can't go wrong coming here for some good old New England Seafood Dinners!

I have been going to this Warren, RI staple since I was a little kid. Most days I get the fish and chips, which always have large pieces of perfectly fried fish and a large portion of French fries. This day I have a small meatball grinder with a lot of provolone melted over the top. Take Note that the... More

I came here due to the great reviews on being the #1 spot & I love fish. It's a nice local spot, cozy, very busy the whole time we were there. Ordered fish and chips- nothing "grand". It was bland flavor wise. Not greasy which was good. But wasn't something that wowed me. Prices were good.

Delicious. Light battered, FRESH, non-greasy, (did I say delicious?) fish and chips. My husband said the calamari was also great. Nice, welcoming staff. Such a difference from what we ate at a pub-like place in Newport. Clean, basic, RI diner decor. We're going back soon.

Had a late lunch at Amaral's Fish & Chips. We enjoyed their clam chowder, stuffed quahog and fish & chips. Coming at this hour the place was not busy and we were able to get a table. After ordering at the counter the chowder and quahog arrived promptly and was delicious. We had the clear broth chowder which was full... More

My husband and I have been here twice on recent trips to RI. The fish is very good and portions are a good size! I like my coleslaw with less mayo but will be back again to try other seafood items. You can't go wrong with choosing the fish and chips, though!

This could be the best fish & chips stop in RI, family run for generations. I just wish the decor was a bit better for dine in service. We moved away 7 years ago, but we stop here at least once every visit back.

We happened to find this place by chance and were so excited. You can smell the food from outside and that was definitely a good sign for us. Not only were the people really friendly, but the portion sizes were great and the food is served really quickly. We ordered clam cakes, two super platters (oysters, scallops, fish, shrimp and...
