I am a regular at the Bluebird for 8 years. I've never had a bad food experience here. However, the service has become really, really bad. It's almost as if they resent that they have to do their job, and we should be grateful they serve us at all. I went for dinner last night, it was a packed house,... More

The Bluebird serves breakfast, lunch, and on one evening a week dinner. We go there for breakfast at least once a week. Perfect eggs, great hash browns and, our favorite, grits; They have great cheese grits. My son loves the pancakes which you can get with real maple syrup for a little extra. The staff is wonderful and many of... More

We were given rude looks when we walked through the door, roughly 10 minutes before closing. We asked before hand if they were still serving, and they answered in the affirmative. Had we known how awful we would be treated, we would never have stayed. We were told that they were "out of" several key menu items. Wait staff began... More

If you are looking for a delicious omelette with a bit of originality, please try Blue Bird. It is a small place with an attentive, friendly staff. They are also open on Friday & Saturday nights for a limited dinner menu. We have been going here for years and we have never been disappointed.

The Bluebird is a fairly typical South County breakfast joint. I've been a regular for years, so I can't really comment on service for new diners--I know all the wait staff. What distinguishes the Bluebird is the fairly regular appearance of sort of a hybrid Texas/New Orleans menu, courtesy of the owner's background. I like the huevos- and pollo ranchero.... More

The Bluebird Cafe serves real food that's delicious!! Love the food, love the people. We love taking the family here, lots of options for everyone to end up happy. I love the black beans, my husband likes the pollo rancheros. Each day they make a different variety of corn muffin and they are always delicious. On Fridays they serve dinner... More

Yummy brunch food in a casual atmosphere. The cajun biscuits and gravy were really good. We also enjoyed the huevos rancheros, pumpkin pancakes, corned beef hash and fresh blueberry corn muffin. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant was very busy with some people waiting outside for a table.

Blue Bird looks like, but is not, a strip mall breakfast place. While it certainly has omelets and pancakes for the less-adventuous, it also serves a number of other, less expected breakfast items. Roux, jambalaya and etouffe dot the daily menu like the raisins in the tasty muffins that can come with the breakfast plates. On Fridays, Bluebird serves dinner... More
