So... We get a night out every once in a great while. We have 3 children and 2 full time jobs. When a night out can happen we choose Scampi's specifically on a Friday night. First, there is always congestion at the door. It's just that good. You walk in and your completely underwhelmed by the cliche nautical decor. You... More

I really liked when there was a piano player. The decor was average. The menu is very expensive. The drinks are really expensive , but consistently mixed perfectly! The food is fresh and consistently flavored the same visit after visit. The service is friendly. The bar crowd is good entertainment when there isn't music. Good seafood at gouge - the... More

Went to Scampi on a Friday night in August. I ordered the prime rib special. It was cooked to a perfect medium just as ordered. My sister in law ordered a chicken dish with risotto and she loved it. My husband ordered a cheeseburger of all things but said it was excellent. They had good entertainment. The person singing had... More

We walked into Scampi having not read any reviews: that was a mistake. My husband and I dine out frequently. We thought the prices were on the high side, but were hopeful the meals would be worth the price. After taking our orders, our waitress said she'd be out with the bread: it never happened, but we let that slide.... More

Have been going to Scampi for a couple of years. Food has always been very good & so has the service. Prices are reasonable. There was "nothing" done for the birthday person, would have been nice after spending a good $200.00 (dinner for 4). Maybe even a "Happy Birthday" when we were leaving.

We are locals that have been visiting Scampi for a few years. We had dinner here on Saturday late afternoon. Service was very good, the food not so much. My husband had the catch of the day, which was broiled haddock. The fish was flavorless but the worst part of the meal were the mashed potatoes, looked and tasted like... More

We drove six hours from Vermont to have a weekend in this great area and as it was our anniversary we were given a huge recommendation from friends to go to Scampis on the water in Portsmouth. The waitress couldn't be nicer but our special dinner Seafood Scampi was a disaster. Both lobsters were extremely tough and hard. The shrimp... More

We were excited to try Scampi. Unfortunately, our expectations where not met. Service was extremely slow - took 1 hour to get mussels and a salad. After waiting all that time to finally eat, Our dinners were not flavorful and not prepared with ingredients as expected. Mussels were the worst I've ever had. Ironically, The place is called Scampi, so... More

We were a large family party, and two guests were delayed by almost 2 hrs. The waitress was kind, patient and gracious. She took orders for apps, and meals for the kids, then took orders for the rest of the meal after we were all together. I loved the Lobster Club. I try to stay away from Gluten so put... More

Went with the family while visiting RI. Seafood was good. Atmosphere was very beachy. Had a nice outdoor patio w umbrellas for good weather. Food was good but spent a long time waiting.
