This place is great. It's a nice atmosphere, with super friendly servers, a huge drink menu, and fantastic food! Our favorite night to go is on Thursdays, because Andy does an amazing job with weekly trivia. He's hilarious and charming! I've been to a few other places for trivia, and nobody compares to this guy! Definitely a great addition to... More

My friends and I go every Thursday for trivia. Its the best 2 hours of the week. Its a fun touch they add to our local community. #grumblepack. I recommend a nice glass of hop stoopid and the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Delicious! Nice, friendly atmosphere and I have had yet to have a bad experience on trivia night or... More

We went there based on a friends recommendation about the raw bar. The price and the quality of the raw bar were excelant. The wives decided to have a meal while the "boys" took full advantage of the reasonable price and good quality of the oysters & clams. The meals that were ordered were excelant and reasonably priced. The only... More

Had dinner outside on the patio which was very nice. The nachos were good. My husband had the wild boar sandwich which is basically a fancy name for pulled pork but he liked it. I had the Cobb salad and it was delicious. The fire pit was on and it was a nice night. Relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely go... More

The lobster croissant at the Portsmouth Publick House is one of the BEST lobster sandwiches I've ever had. They use only real lobster meat with no fillers, hardly any mayo, and serve a generous portion on a flaky, buttery croissant. Mmmmmm! I've Had this sandwich four times over the past two months and it has been consistently delicious. Also try... More

We had dinner here for the second time in about a last night. Most people were sitting outside by the fire pit but we sat at the bar. My wife had the Bison burger (Hold the bun!) and said it was very good. I had the Venison burger which was excellent. That burger comes with avocado and a medium over... More

This was our second time and again the food was amazing. We started off with some little necks from the raw bar. They were so fresh and tasty. I had the BBQ peach chicken and it was out of this world. The combo flavor of peach with just a bit of heat from the BBQ sauce made this dish. The... More

We ate takeout for lunch. The sandwiches and wraps were good, though the bacon on the turkey sandwich didn't seem very fresh. The menu had great variety, and the sandwiches were very big. Some minor details, like no lemon in the lemonade, and no salt packets available were minor irritations, but I would go back. I would like to try... More

Bison, boar, venison, and all the usual great meat. I had the boar and it was quite good and the peach bbq sauce was lovely.

My husband and I were wandering around looking for a place to have dinner and came upon the Portsmouth Publick House. What a find!! We had the most delicious dinner, although I will say I was put off a bit by the unusual menu items. I had the most delicious barbecued chicken with a peach glaze, delicious green beans and... More
