Spent longer in the Men's room after eating here than I waited in line. Absolutely not worth the wait. money, etc. etc. One of the worst placed I have ever eaten in my life. A big Mac with fries would have been better than this. Extremely disappointing to say the least.
Yet another staple to visit. Be prepared for the lines & the wait but I enjoy the experience. Over the past few years it does seem there are more potatoes then clams in the chowda. Grab you're food to go and eat at the light house.
We wanted to see what the long line was all about. (It must be for the doughboys. We didn't have the doughboys.) We enjoyed a stupendous shore dinner at Aunt Carrie's across the street the week before so we decided to try Iggy's. Disappointed. They don't have RI style clear chowder so we went with the Manhattan. It was nothing...

We were looking for a seafood/hot dog place for lunch, and headed toward the beach. Lucky us! We found Iggy's, and the day was perfect for eating at their picnic tables. We had the Manhattan and New England clam chowders, and loved them! We shared a small order of clam cakes, and thought they were delicious! Hubby RAVED about his...

No lines on Easter weekend. Great lobster salad roll with lots of obviously fresh lobster meat and not too much mayo. I loved the doughboys. I wish I could have one right now. We took the food to go and went to the beach to eat. Dining room seemed ugly, but I just went in there to go to the...

We go to Iggy's ALL THE TIME IN THE SUMMER. We love their Clam Cakes, fried clams, onion rings, etc. Nothing like Iggy's on a summer night.
Tried Iggy's fish & chips dinner for a take-out this week. At $9.99 before tax it was a pretty good deal with a good sized portion of cod in a pleasant batter and a fair number of nicely done french fries. Included is your choice of a red, white or clear clam chowder cup and a small side of a...

All winter we long for Iggys and their yummy clam cakes, stuffed clams, their picnic tables and little sitting area. It's so great there. I like the college kids at the window and the little town. It just makes me wish it was summer.
Any native New Englander who returns for a visit has to get a fix of whole fried clams. Clam strips don't qualify! Iggys Doughboy and Chowder House in Narragansett RI is an old fashioned clam shack on the water and it delivers on the taste you crave. Not fancy in any way, but just great eating.
