Frankly...I heard good and bad things about this restaurant but personally wasn't impressed at all. The food is ok...the service is slow and arrogance of the hostess (someone told me she was the owner) made it not worth it. I'd rather go to New Dragon. more
We have been going to Oceanview since 1991 and have always enjoyed the food. It is set way back in a shopping plaza and the dining room is dark (no "ocean view"), but you will not find better Chinese food in South County! We have been to this restaurant about ten times and have been satisfied every time. The food is superb--very different from an ordinary Chinese restaurant in the US where you would just choose the meat and otherwise the dishes taste the same.
