Great spot for a cold beer

and some fried seafood. Both my wife and I had fried clam rolls. Outstanding. We ate on the outside deck. The views are beautiful. You're watching the ferrys come in from Block Island. It's a fast food type place, but good

It's a fish market with an open restaurant on top. There are flies everywhere...no air conditioning...and its window pickup, with wet naps and plastic everything. Being a native RI'er, I find this place trashy, and the prices aren't that great. If you're expecting a seafood dining experience, go downstairs, buy it fresh....and take it home to cook. One of the... More

I and my family (from upstate New York) have visited Rhode Island on many occasions. Each time we do, we stop for at least one meal at Champlin's. We love this place! The seafood is very fresh and perfectly prepared. There are lots of choices, mostly fried but some broiled offerings. Skip the fries and go for the red potatoes.... More

I hole in the wall place, yet great fresh seafood. Go in the offseason (October - May) and really enjoy Gallilee for what it is - a fishing community.

First of all the food, the Snail Salad was divine, the smoked fish was delish, the Seafood Linguini with clam sauce was immense and excellent. Second the atmosphere, yes you order at the window and call your number for pick-up. Please remember if you are at Chaplin's has some of the best seafood anywhere. Oh yeah, you have some mighty... We are not fans of fried food and Champlin's is a fried food extravaganza....however they have a fresh fish market below the restaurant and we go there quite often to pick up a few large lobsters and for $2 send them upstairs to cook them for us. While we wait for them to steam, we enjoy some tasty clam chowder... More

I ordered the fish and chip and was very disappointed. I was also not impressed with the cafeteria style restaurant. There is no atmosphere. The only good thing about this restaurant is the ocean view. I would never go back.

The very first time that I had raw oysters was in New Orleans. That experience is etched in my mind and in my taste buds forever as the best! I've has them in other places since and some are very good and others so-so. Champlins are top-notch in my book. Very fresh tasting of the ocean sweet and tender! A... More

A friend took me and my husband here for lunch here on a recent trip to RI. We ordered our food at the counter and then found a table at the dock side dining area. When the food was ready we went to pick it up and brought it back to the table. We each had a lobster roll, a... More
