We love eating right where the seafood is delivered after being caught, and Champlin's is one of the best. The place is big and open; we could watch the boats bring in the catch as we ate. The scallops were some of the best I have ever eaten. I would say, we thought the prices a bit steep, but then... More

Champlins is a nice place. Not a fancy sit down place like Georges but they still have great food. We got a basket of steamers and one was rotten, but all the others were good. The oysters were freshly prepared at the Raw bar, and the sangria was nice and sweet. The view was great and it was a nice... More

The store is great but I do not know how this restaurant was 11 out of 83. Four of us had different meals and not one was good. The fish and chips, I have had better at McDonald’s, the lobster was tasteless, both of the shrimp dishes, one stuffed (with what?) And one coconut, were greasy and the color was... More

I've eaten here a number of times and always start with the steamers. They are always very good. The baked flounder was also excellent.

Seafood right off the boat! Great food, especially the fried clams! Remodeled this winter, very good raw bar! Great place to watch the boats in the channel!

My stuffed flounder was great. Very fresh and delicious stuffing. Fried clams came out on the colder side. Lobster roll was good. Seating by the water is nice.

Champlin's has a nice setting on the water in Galilee. You can't get much closer to the water and the boats going by. You can sit outside or inside and still have a great view. We had both the clear broth and the red chowder. Both were loaded with tender clams and potatoes. It was lukewarm. The fish and chips... More

Lobster was great. You can sit outside upstairs and watch the boats come in and out of the breach way. Nice setting

Stopped in today and was disappointed by the limited variety and overall prices. The swordfish did not look fresh and I suspect that it was from the Caribbean. Other seafood seemed more expensive than I would pay in CT so I took a pass.
