I ordered the fish and chip and was very disappointed. I was also not impressed with the cafeteria style restaurant. There is no atmosphere. The only good thing about this restaurant is the ocean view. I would never go back.

The very first time that I had raw oysters was in New Orleans. That experience is etched in my mind and in my taste buds forever as the best! I've has them in other places since and some are very good and others so-so. Champlins are top-notch in my book. Very fresh tasting of the ocean sweet and tender! A... More

A friend took me and my husband here for lunch here on a recent trip to RI. We ordered our food at the counter and then found a table at the dock side dining area. When the food was ready we went to pick it up and brought it back to the table. We each had a lobster roll, a... More

We ate here twice during our visit. This is sort of cafeteria style dining. Stand in line, order food, pick up at other window. During our 2 visits we enjoyed raw and fried oysters, clam chowder ( clear broth and creamy ). I am not fond of the clear... guess you have to grow up on this variety. Lobster, and... More

Champlin's is my ultimate favorite place to sit outside and have fried clams. They are the best here! As a family we love to go here and sit outside and watch the Block Island Ferry come and go. We go here year round as the food is that good. The winter time is a great time to visit, as it... More

We went there late Saturday afternoon on Labor Day weekend and it was busy but not crowded. Lines do build up so you may have to wait if you're there close to lunch or supper time. There was plenty of seating both indoors and on the outdoor deck. The chowder (I like clear, no dairy) had plenty of clams, so... More

My husband enjoyed his clam roll, someone else had fish and chips and said it was good. I ordered the chicken fingers. I would suggest you try the clam roll, plenty of food. French fries were just okay, nothing to brag about. Have a drink and enjoy the view -

A think it is a bit of hit or miss here, but our lobster, razor necks, steamers, and lobster roll were more than fine. The "stuffies" (stuffed clams) were a bit of a loss. My guess would be that when the crowds are gone the quality goes up a bit. The view is great, lots of seating, and the service... More

😝 Except for the steamers (which were sweet and yummy), everything else was fair at best. The 6 oz of baked 'sea scallops' were so overcooked! They were tough and very chewy. The fries were not crunchy at all, nor were the fried whole belly clams! Half the fun is having them crunchy on the outside. The chowder (white and... More
