I've been going to Aunt Carrie's with my family at least once a year for most of my life. I always get the fried fish or fried scallops and they never disappoint. The clear chowder is the best of the three, the cole slaw is delicious and the rhubarb pie is to die for. I also love the casual atmosphere,... more

I had the fried bay scallop roll and coleslaw, plus a clam cake from my husband's order. It was the absolute best lunch style seafood I've ever had. They've mastered this class. It really tasted like a fine restaurant doing short order. My aunt, who lives in Narragansett, swears by Aunt Carrie's and I can definitely second her endorsement. Super... more

Nothing fancy, just great seafood. Clam cakes (fritters) were wonderful, but the highlight was the Hot Lobster Roll. My waitress, Micha, talked me into the sandwich rather than the roll, and she didn't disappoint! The sandwich was enormous; stuffed with more than one lobster's worth of meat! It was crammed into 2 large slices of homemade white bread which they... more

I read up about Aunt Carrie's before heading to Narragansett. This was the one restaurant that was on my list to visit. Since they just recently won the James Beard Award, I thought this place must be amazing. Wow, what a major disappointment. Their milk chowder is the worst I've ever had. It was lacking very basic ingredients like salt... more

Food wasn't bad but the way it was talked up we were expecting more. The best part was the onion rings - I highly recommend them. The other food was average at best. more

If you like seafood and a homestyle atmosphere, I think you'll like Aunt Carrie's. The service was very good as well as the food. I had the Fish and Chips by recommendation from our "native RI" friends. I never had Fish and Chips before so I have nothing to compare it to. Nice large portion and not greasy. I also... more

Our order included the Seafodd Platter: Fried Sampling of Whole Clams, Strip Clams, Shrimp, Flounder, and Bay Scallops, with French Fries & Clam Cakes. The fried fish tasted like vegetables- it did not taste like fish at all. The Clam Cakes, which were about 3 or 4 inches around, did not have enough clam to actually taste like anything but... more

On June 14th before we headed back home, we stopped at Aunt Carie's and ordered a dozen clam cakes at the take out window and sat at the picnic tables outside to eat them. They were the size of baseballs and were fresh and delicious. I would recommend that anyone in the area make a stop here to try them! more
