Just visited the Coast Guard House. Very very scenic location. I understand they just rebuilt again after the last major storm. They appear to have a dedicated following. Our lunch experience was less than stellar. When making the reservation, the person taking the reservation was unsure as to whether Lobsters were on the menu. When we arrived for our Friday... More

RoboReviewer45 Thank you for visiting us for lunch. We are disappointed our desserts did not meet your expectations as all of our desserts are made in house including the peppermint ice cream, which was made that day. We apologize for not having lobster available to you for your Friday lunch reservation; we recently implemented a Throwback Thursday Lobster special of... More

We had not been to the Coast Guard House for many years. And since it had just been rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy, we thought we would give it a try. Wow! What a great experience!! When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a group of staff members and led directly to our table by a requested window (for... More

My mother and I were looking forward to a gorgeous view at dinner. Even at night, the ocean waves were illuminated and provided an amazing backdrop to a delicious meal. The lobster bisque was delicious and had a mild lobster flavor-I would have liked a few more lobster bits in the soup. Our main courses were amazing. The fried fish... More

They did a very nice job rebuilding the restaurant since it had serious damage from hurricane. The restaurant is right on the ocean and a great views. The menu is interesting and varies by season. The food and service are also excellent

Great location, overlooking the ocean on a great beach; great interior space to enjoy a meal; great and friendly service; great wine (Viognier anyone?), very good clam chowder, super lobster salad but unfortunately so-so soba noodles (the cook should check with a Japanese on the soup spices!). If only all restaurants visited would have as many pluses as the Coast... More

Best restaurant on ocean Rd. We had the newyork system weiners and I have never had any better in my life. The popcorn chicken app and old Milwaukee 40oz was ice cold.

Went there with another couple and we all loved our food. Lobster was great, lamb appetizer amazing, crab Mac and cheese tasty...we all passed the plates around so everyone could try because it was so good you wanted to hoard it every bite but too good not to share. Spent over $100 on appetizers, drinks, and food for two people.... More

The place is right on the water with beautiful views from any table. Went for lunch and my mom and I had the risotto which was a special. Almost as good as Italy! Can't wait to go back.

We live 2 miles away. Went to the Coast Guard house quite a few years ago hadn't been back as it was just okay. The last storm wrecked the place so we figured we try it again when they reopened. The inside looks the same beautiful views of the water but the food is a different story. When we arrived... More

Dear Dellaharry- We do thank you for choosing to visit us after our extensive renovations and apologize for the issue with the front door, as the wind and humidity have created some issues with the ability to open it. I have lived in Narragansett for 30 years and for many, many years I described CGH as a restaurant with an A+ view and a C- kitchen. They had improved greatly during the year or so prior to Superstorm Sandy so I wondered which CGH would return. The view, of course, is still A+ but the kitchen is now B+.... More
