The Coast Guard House just reopened after an extensive renovation after hurricane Sandy; they have done a fantastic job and have opened up what was already a gorgeous ocean view even more! Beautiful beach and ocean views everywhere you look; a polished wait staff after just a week in operation. The food was wonderful; try the short rib dumplings and... More

We usually stop here for some drinks at night. It's usually pretty packed but the view is great and you can sit outside on the upper deck. There are tables and a couple of bars but be prepared for a crowd if you go on the weekend nights.

Came on July 3- sun was out and it was breezy. Sitting in on the big open upper deck overlooking the beach and ocean was perfect. Fun, casual atmosphere, good food - we had lobster rolls and burgers and great service. Have to mention an outstanding watermelon margarita I had - made with fresh watermelon - so yummy! A lovely... Beautifully redone after Sandy.... Every table is ocean view.. And the bar area is light and airy.. A grest place to see and be seen.. Very popular with locals and tourists alike.. The service and food are right on point.. Go early if you don't want to wait long as it gets busy very quicky... Will definitely be back

We were lucky to having been invited to a soft opening. We have been loyal fans for years but nothing could have prepared us for the new look of the restaurant and bar area. The bar now has a 180 degree view of the ocean and Narragansett Beach. It truly is a very beautiful, serene and enjoyable dining location. My... More

Following an extensive renovation after being destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, the downstairs dining room is now open. I have to say it is better than ever! The bar area was moved and is exceptional. The decor throughout the dining room is great as well. The new layout maximizes the phenomenal ocean views from every part of the restaurant. The food... More

Just had an amazing dinner at the Coast Guard House. They've just re-opened the main dining room after a major renovation following Superstorm Sandy. Let me tell you, it's worth the wait. To start with the decor. The bar is beautiful, looking out over the ocean you can see Narragansett Beach, Narrow River, and all the way down to the... More

What we have found in Narraganset is that several restaurants rely on their view and not their food but the Coast Guard House is the exception. We ate here on a Saturday evening and it was packed. They initially told us it would take an hour but we were surprised when they sat us in less than 30 minutes (we... More

Went to RI last summer as a last minute trip. Stumbled upon this restaurant & loved it! Great spot overlooking the water. Food was delicious! Would definitely come back again!

The Coast Guard House has been through a lot....Hurricanes, Fires...and Hurricane Sandy and then some.....But, somehow they just bring it back times 10..... My husband and I totally love the upstairs deck...so informal...so, open....total beautiful views of the ocean other than the swooping and nosey seagulls....The drinks are awesome as well as the service....The Food is average as well as...
