I was really excited to go here. Packed parking lot and tons of people. I ordered 2 egg sandwiches with cheese and sausage on a roll. Price was a little less than 4 dollars a sandwich. The eggs were pre fab. This destroyed it for me,how could you not crack open some real eggs. i would expect this from McDonalds... More

Large breakfast sandwich, that was extremely filling. The sweet bread is amazing too, and I like that they allow you to purchase by the slice, or the loaf. Must try the coffee milk!

We love to try local donut shops and avoid most mass produced chains. Ma's donuts were cakey and delicious - definitely not typical chain donuts. I LOVED the apple fritta. The Hawaiian bread was awesome - you can buy a huge loaf or pre-cut slices wrapped in plastic wrap. We tried the cronuts, but missed what everyone raves about. The... More

Bought sweet bread and would love to have the recipe, it was wonderful toasted. Not overly sweet either.

I wanted to try the local fare. This place is Portugese, so they had specialties like Portugese sausage (I forget the name), on their breakfast sandwiches. The hash browns could have used a little more seasoning, that's a little nitpicky. I didn't try the doughnuts, but they did have about four different varieties, maybe more, of cronuts. This is worth... More

I was impressed by the variety of their doughnuts and the freshness of them. The glazed doughnuts were simple, perfect texture, perfectly fried. My favorite doughnuts are Krispy Kreme and these were a close second. Well above other local chains. We also tried a cronut-the creme filling was excellent but the jam made it too rich for me. It was... More

Ma's is open 24hrs!! They have drive thru and cronuts and not just 1 flavor but um, maybe, like 10. If you don't see a flavor you like, just ask, it's probably cooling on the racks in back. The staff will happily get you what you need. The doughnuts were exceptional. Light, soft and fresh and they didn't fill me... More

Donuts. Love them. Cronuts. Love them even more. I have to say, I was excited to have a malasada, after living in Hawaii for two years...and missing the malasada.... Well, I ain't mad at ya, Newport...but, leave the malasada up to Hawaii, and keep up the cronut delish job. Yum. Try it. Your booty might not thank you, but your... More

If you're in the mood for something totally different and in the Newport area. stop by Ma's for a great selection for pastries and the newfangle cronut! Its something slightly new thats making the donut shop rounds. I believe it was created in NYC so its fairly new to the New England area. Nonetheless, nice to know you find it... More
