Went to Rhea's for dinner with my mom and we were so happy with our decision to go there! One person was doing the waitressing and bartending and she was excellent -- I wish I had gotten her name. My mom is a manhattan drinker and is very fussy about how they are made, and this young woman made it... More

Went for breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Husband had clam chowder which was one of the very best clam chowders we have ever tasted. I wanted to go back just for more but we ran out of time.

We visit Newport RI once a year and several years ago we discovered Rhea's when we stayed at her BnB. Breakfast was in the attached restaurant and since then no matter where we stay we start the day at Rhea's. This is first a family business and Rhea is often in the kitchen cooking your meal. There is a reasonably... More

I was a little disappointed by Rhea's. The food was ok, the service was ok and the atmosphere was just ok. Not a terrible place to go to eat, but I would look elsewhere if possible.

This restaurant is in a fairly non-descript building but the food is really good. We had very tender and tasty barbecued ribs and the fish of the day (broiled Striped Sea Bass), which was perfectly cooked. Portions are generous. The home-made deserts are worth a try. The wine list is well thought out and I recommend the Pinot Grigio. Plenty... More

Went looking for some local flavor and found this restaurant. Just good food, reasonably priced. The service was attentive, and the staff was fun.

My wife and I ate here in late June. The clam chowder was very good, creamy with bits of bacon in it. I had a baked seafood platter, including cod, shrimp and scallops, with good seasoning and nicely cooked. Interior of the restaurant is very nice, but there were few people there on the Wednesday night we ate there. Service... More

We have had the pleasure of dining at Rhea's on several occasions. We would be considered as locals to many people who visit Newport. Never once have we had a less than exemplary Down to Earth Good Eating meal here. We recommend this restaurant highly if you are not into the trappings of a Tourist Trap type restaurant. What you... I was here for 2 weeks training at the Naval Base and dined at Rhea's my second night here. The food was absolutely amazing. Had the surf and turf which was the scallops and prime rib. Both were cooked perfectly. I love the atmosphere of this place. I leave back to Florida tomorrow. But tonight I will be at Rhea's... More

On a ride to Newport we stopped at Rhea 's for lunch. Having eaten there before and enjoyed it. This time I ordered the ribs and shrimp. Mouth watering and delicious. I enjoyed it so much can 't wait to go back again. Best ribs ever. It's it easy to spot so look carefully or you will drive right by... More
