I find that many tourist area ice cream shops are only mediocre. But the Newport Creamery was great and reasonably priced for two scoops in a waffle cone. Only $3.00 and some change. We only had ice cream. The special of the day with grated coconut and chocolate shavings was one of the best I have ever tasted.

We stopped here for a late lunch -- definitely popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. Cheeseburgers were great, as was the ice cream. Fast service.

Stopped for a quick Sunday morning breakfast on our way home, I was worried we'd be here forever, but to my surprise we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who qucikly got us coffee and took our order. The food was great, especially the home fries at good prices. Will definitely be back!

On a hot day in Newport last summer this was a welcome find. Their list of ice cream flavors is extensive and we were not disappointed in our selections. We stopped by a few times during our visit, we were always pleased. Portions are huge, the ice cream is creamy and the flavors spot on.
