We're working down in Newport and seen flo's, I was thinking oysters it was slow in there but it's cash only and no oysters until 4pm so I went with the clam strips (gross), clam cakes (all dough), and a stuffed quahog, (was big orange stuffing in a shell also disgusting and it ran me $18 +ATM fee $3.50 ;(

After a trip to the beach, of course you want some seafood! First of all it was open! Quite a feat to find a decent clam shack in the off season anywhere but here lies paradise! The staff of three had it under control with the good sized crowd, seating is available up and downstairs, but claim a table before... More

I'm from the area so when I go back home I go there for the clamcakes. The bad thing is the set-up and the wait time is ridiculous. i'm usually in line for at least 45min 1 1/2 hr just to order but I go back all the time just for the clamcakes

This is the worst setup ever. I will never eat here again. If you want to belly up to a bar or serve yourself then this restaurant is 5 star. There is a downstairs kitchen and upstairs kitchen. The menu is split, part ordered downstairs and the other ordered upstairs. Pay for each at each location. Stupid setup. It's the... More

This place is amazing... Don't go here if you're expecting fancy or table service though. You order at the counter, grab a table and wait for your lobster to light up and go collect your food.. Ate here for lunch on a beautiful day, sat upstairs. We had the clam cakes which were the best I've ever had, a clam... More

This is truly an Olde New England Clam Shack. With that in mind, you should expect a "no frills" dining experience. Portions are very good, and the view of First Beach and the Cliff Walk is phenomenal. Yes, you wait in line to order, and you seat yourself. The restaurant is nothing more than a great little clam shack. The... More

When we asked which restaurant we should eat at, we were told Flo's. Coincidently our hotel was next door. Flo's is a walk up to order restaurant. We put in our order with a very unfriendly woman, found a seat and waited. We got clam chowder which was very average. Then we got clams. They tasted odd. The reviews over... More

Stopped in here as it looked nice from the outside with a nice ocean view from the second floor. The wait to order your food outside was not to bad and we were greeted by a friendly lady who promptly took our order for a Lobster Roll Dinner Platter and a Whole Belly Clam Platter ($40.00). Our little plastic lobster... More
