Anthony's offers fresh seafood at an affordable price. When we take family who are visiting the area, they wish they could transplant the restaurant to their hometown. Our favorites include flounder and chips, fried shrimp, and clam chowder with clam cakes. Other family members have enjoyed lobster, clams, swordfish, and chicken fingers. We occassionally buy crab cakes or fish from... More

This is a great locally caught seafood restaurant. Good prices too. The place is not fancy but it is clean and the staff are very good and usually pretty fast on the service. You will enjoy it.

This is by far the freshest seafood we have found, but most items on the menu are fried. Loved the fried flounder. Did not like the stuffiness, a local favorite, just too much breaking, not enough clams. Huge quantities, enough to take away for another day. Ambience is lacking, pick nic tables, very casual, you must past the seafood sales... More

If you are going for atmosphere then don't got there, but if you want fresh, excellent seafood then this is the place to be. The service is excellent and the food is well prepared.

When you walk in the door, you enter their store that sells fresh seafood. I was impressed that you did not get the odor of seafood but you did get an impressive display of fresh seafood. The one thing I did not like about the restaurant was that you looked at the menu at the entrance into the restaurant part... More

Have been buying from Anthony's for the past 6+ years. Simply the freshest fish anywhere. I typically wait until I arrive to decide what I want to buy. The choices change daily and they sell a lot fish so the turnover assures that your purchase is fresh. Nice assortment of shellfish too. In the summer there is a vendor in... More

The seafood here is absolutely great. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. You wait in line to order and take your food to the table that you choose. We felt hurried in line and were reluctant to ask questions. But the food was very good.

This spotless, not fancy place full of friendly staff serves very high quality, perfectly prepared seafood. We went back one night when we had planned a fine dining experience, because we couldn't imagine that a white tablecloth place could top what Anthony's serves up. Especially recommend the Rhode Island Clam Chowder, a broth-based soup loaded with clams and tiny potatoes,... More

This was our first time eating here. My husband and I really enjoyed fried fish platter. Service was very good and I liked casual and relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely stop here again on our next trip to Newport area.

Stopped here on a Thursday evening with a party of 5 and were told we could not sit down until we ordered, funny as there were lots of empty seats. We ordered our meals and sat down and in a while the food was served. I had the stuffed Quahog which was tasty & spicy also had the Calamari which... More
