Superb Italian artisan breads, pastries, paninis and Sunday night thin crust pizza

The Village Hearth is a RI favorite. The breads and pastries are prepared with Italian skill and love. The breads are delicious so you can never leave with just one loaf. The corn muffins and pecan rolls are simply the best you will ever have. The soups and traditional paninis will transport... read more

Fresh, fresh, fresh - LOTS of homemade breads and tons of sandwich selections. We loved the Paninis and also treated our family to Sunday night pizza (the only night they are offered). Definitely a great place for foodies!

Such a cute place! The baked goods and coffee were delicious and so fresh. We walked from the house we were renting and loved taking the kids for a morning treat. Are only complaint was that it wasn't open every day!

The quality of the baked goods here is outstanding...muffins, scones, etc., and the coffee quite good. atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. We came for breakfast expecting eggs, omelettes, but we're surprised to find just the baked stuff. As a coffee shop, it was great, though, and we'd definitely go back for coffe and snacks.

We recently spent a few days in Jamestown and visited the Village Hearth Bakery Café where we had sandwiches. The Bakery is nestled in a charming wooden house with a beautiful shady terrace. The staff was friendly. There was a large variety of pastries and breads which looked amazing! The sandwiches were as beautiful to look at as to eat!... More

We go here regularly for their olive bread and the other baked good are good as well. Street parking is never a problem. There is a great playground nearby for the kids for the pre- or post- munchies energy burst. However, they only take cash or check, which is problem when the next door ATM is down. (In fairness, the... More

Great Pizza on Sundays. Great selection of bread and sweet treats. Fantastic sandwiches and soup (Soup's on during the fall/winter months).

This small baker offers delicious treats! The pecan rolls are the best! The chocolate croissants are also delicious. Sandwiches are also excellent. Parking can be an issue. We are lucky; we can walk there. Remember that it is only open Friday through Sunday. Be sure to try the Sunday night pizza as well.

Waited about 30 minutes for two pizzas. They were good. Not worth such a wait, especially since they were no longer hot when I got them home. The place only takes cash and had run out of most things by the time I got to order.

We are a very small bakery operated and run, quite literally, by "mom (me) and pop (my husband)". EVERYTHING is made from scratch by us. We are primarily a bakery offering a selection of both artisan pastry and breads during day hours; additionally we offer our wood-fired pizza only ONE night per week. Pizza time/night comes at the tail end... More

This bakery makes the best French baguette anywhere on the East Coast. No lie. Unbelievably delicious bread. Great coffee too. And how many bakeries make pastry with eggs from their own chickens? I suggest you try the heavenly brioche, the pecan sticky bun, or the Italian espresso plum brandy muffin. Or better yet, don't go anywhere near the place! The... More
