Ok food, nothing special

We went here for July 4th for dinner. Small portions and a bit over priced. We ordered mussels for an appetizer and was great disappointed by the tiny size, especially since the ocean in down the street. Dinner was unremarkable and to sum it up, you can find better in Jamestown.

We went because of previous reviews on Tripadvisor. The waitress never offered and we didn't think to ask about specials. Also never offered bread. However the table next to us with a different waiter was offered both. The lobster bisque was very good but lukewarm. We split a broiled seafood platter. It was good, but no flavor on it. We... We are staying in Jamestown for the week and chose Chopmist Charlie's for dinner on our first night because it was raining and dining is indoors. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, which came out rare. I sent it back and it came back cooked much better. I did have to cut quite a bit of fat off before it... More

Good clam chowder. Excellent baked stuffed shrimp. Seafood pasta as great. Crispy fish snd chips excellent. Steak was average quality and overcooked, but what dummy orders a steak at a seafood restaurant (me, I guess). $180 including tip for 5 adult meals, 3 glasses of wine, without desert was a little expensive.

We have dined several times at this local favorite spot. If you are looking for authentic, fresh, local seafood - you need go no further. You will find a delightfully friendly atmosphere with quality seafood and reasonable prices. The lobster rolls, although the a bit pricey, are absolutely worth every penny, a great value for the volume of fresh lobster... More

The food is a little more expensive than we're used to paying, but then again it's Jamestown, RI. The atmosphere was very nice (nautical) and casual. There were 4 in our party, and we had a nice comfy booth. My husband had the lobster mac and cheese, which he said was excellent. I had the fried oyster sandwich, which was... More

A family group of 12 was welcomed on what was to be a busy Friday evening. We called ahead for a 5:30 sitting, and tables were put together to accommodate us. The place was full when we left. We really appreciated the accommodation! Our group had a wide variety of food selections. I had a sesame crusted tuna, lightly seared... More

This is a great place to go to escape the heat in Jamestown, as it is air conditioned. Kids love the fish tank too. Staff is always kind and helpful. Recommend, but pricey.

Went here for dinner and it was delicious. Appetizer of calamari and 2 'stuffies' were more than enough for two people and were delicious. I had the New England Seafood Augratin and it was heavenly on the tastebuds. My partner had Broiled Seafood Platter and he said it was amazing. We both left with 'To Go' bags, despite not eating... I enjoyed the buttermilk battered oysters, which were very tasty, but the other meal of fish and chips was very disappointing.. Lobster bisque was wonderful. We arrived about 7:15 and by 7:45 the place was full.
