We came here following a recommendation and were glad we did. We were introduced to the local stuffies (on the heavy side!), steamers (delicious, our favourite in the whole of NE) and lobster. The atmosphere was great (comfortable and casual), the service good (despite the place being full) and prices were very reasonable. A great introduction to NE seafood cuisine... more

Cozy place to just have a meal, very well prepared seafood, good quality fish and mussels. Super friendly staff, very helpful. Makes you feel at home when coming in for the second time. more

Don't expect a fancy environment and you won't be disappointed! It's nothing fancy but the fish is fresh and delicious and the sides are interesting. If you visit the Jamestown-Newport area a trip to Chopmist Charlie's is well worth it. Their Sun-Thurs special is unbeatable. The food is excellent and will not disappoint. The atmosphere is casual and the service is excellent. You will not be disappointed in any of the seafood dishes. more

Stayed in Jamestown recently and "Chopmist Charlie's" was recommended by some locals, and after going there twice during our vacation, I see why. Fresh seafood!!! I had Striped Bass caught the day I had it! Generous portion. The owner came out of the kitchen and was really pleased that I enjoyed it. My wife and daughter both enjoyed thier meals... more
