Local Gem....

This was our first time to the Narragansett Cafe. We met friends for drinks and dinner on Sunday. Atmosphere was great and the the food was average. The live band started just after 4pm. The band was really good. Recommend you get to the cafe about 1/2 hour before the band starts to get a good... read more

In all of our visits we have never eaten there so we can not comment on the food. However the "Live" music that they offer is great. We were there a couple of weeks ago to see "Steve Smith & the Nakeds" again. That Band never disappoints. Followed up with a visit the next day to listen to some good... More

We live on Jamestown so are lucky enough to be here often. The food is consistent, plentiful and good quality at a good price. Not gourmet but if that's your wish try the other restaurant they own ...Jamestown Fish. The staff here have mostly been here for many years and know everyone . The drinks - and the food- are reasonably... More

We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Jamestown. This place reminded me of the bar on the TV show Cheers. A guy walked in and the folks at the bar yelled his name. There were people playing tabletop shuffleboard and the entire bar/restaurant felt "fun." They have some top notch live music on the weekends. They have... More

This is a great spot in Jamestown. It's casual, with great live music located right on the main drag, just a block from the water and near all the other restaurants in Jamestown.

The waitress had about 10 tables at lunch time. It took forever for her to take our order and get our drinks. Finally the food came out and the chicken Caesar wrap was good as was the nachos. But again took forever for our bill. If you have extra time then try it but if you are in a rush... More

We keep coming back, for the music, the food, service and people It's a great place and once the local bartenders get to know you and especially if you have a good sense of humor - you will have a blast

2 pm and the place was 1/3rd full but still took 15 min to get seating and offered a drink. Another 25 min to get the food. Overdone burger, overdone steak, and practically raw french fries. Will never come back.

On the menu, which was posted outside the restaurant, we saw: "Monday through Thursday...Burger/Sandwich Special...Any Burger or Sandwich and a 16 oz. Draft Beer or Soft Drink (Excludes Sam Adam's Beers and our NY Strip Steak Sandwich)" The price listed was $9.50 for a domestic beer, and an additional $2.00 for a premium beer. Thinking we'd like burgers and beer,... More

They certainly know how to serve a cold Narragansett here, and I bet this place rocks once the nighttime crowd shows up. But we made the mistake of just coming for dinner-- not a good idea. The stuffies were fine. I had to send back my clam chowder because it tasted of burnt flour (which perhaps also explains the odd... More
