Description: La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

We had a very enjoyable experience at La Masseria. We had gone there for a private function. Every member of the staff was very professional and courteous. The bartender even took the time to remember our names. Appetizers and entrees were very good as was the wine.

A very nice ambiance is further enhanced by very good Italian food and wine list. Since opening, La Masseria has established itself as a top notch dining choice in East Greenwich.

Overall this was a nice experience. Our waiter was prompt. The fresh mozzarella appetizer they had as a special was so fresh and delicious. Both me and my husband had good meals. Portions are not big for the money. I think you can get just as good food/service at other places. But I'm glad I tried it.

My wife and I had lunch at one of Rhode Island’s best restaurants. The Oysters Rockefeller where out of this world and the service is world class. The noise level from the next tables however is such that the conversation turns into yelling with the voices reflecting of the stone floor and stucco walls remains the greatest disadvantage that management... Food had good flavor, interior was nice. Portion was tiny, bill was large. I was in disbelief when the plat hit the table particularly knowing what I just paid for the dish. Of course, I didn't say anything because it wouldn't do any good. Left hungry and ate when I got home. Hate when that happens!!

I recently enjoyed an exceptional business lunch at La Masseria. The table ordered Mozzarella Farcita Dello Chef which was an enjoyable appetizer of home made fresh cheese stuffed with eggplant, roasted red peppers, tomato, prosciutto and basil. Each day the chef selects a different stuffing for the cheese that is made on-site. Also ordered was a side dish of I... More

Great food and knowledgeable and friendly service. Dined al fresco tonight. We'll be back soon. We had grilled tuna steak and sea bass. Gluten free pasta.

The food overall is quite good at La Masseria, I had some delicious and perfectly cooked linguine alla vongole, and the app of stuffed fresh mozz was superb. However the pricing seemed unreasonably high for the meal and the atmosphere was loud and crowded. We sat upstairs (thankfully) but the noise level was still deafening. The faux rustic decor may...
