So many bennies to choose from but there are other options as well.

This is a small neighborhood eatery in Cranston with a few tables plus a counter where many gather daily for coffee and conversation as well as their favorite tasty foods. I've been there only for breakfast but their lunch menu looks equally interesting. Platters are attractively presented and... read more

This is a small neighborhood eatery in Cranston with a few tables plus a counter where many gather daily for coffee and conversation as well as their favorite tasty foods. I've been there only for breakfast but their lunch menu looks equally interesting. Platters are attractively presented and coffee cups are kept filled. Many varieties of eggs benedict or bennies... Love to try local spots and this one was a winner. Great staff and fabulous food. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a nice cozy place with great food. The portion size was prefect to share and the place made you feel like you were home. There were so many regulars coming it that it made it... More

I love this place so much I almost don't want to share about it and make it more popular! They have an awesome, huge menu of lunch and breakfast items. The omlettes and Benedicts are always great. They have custom hollandaise sauce for each type of benny - I love the Arizona with the cumin sauce. Everything is unique but... More

An excellent place for breakfast. Menu is extensive, but each dish for our party of 9 was equally well prepared. Especially good selection of eggs Benny styles. Wait service cheerful, prompt, and attentive. Coffee was fresh-brewed and somewhat better than you usually get at this type of restaurant. Dining area is not big, so we had to wait a bit... More

We eat out often and hop around to many different breakfast places around the state. It was our 1st time visiting here and let me just say that this is THE best breakfast we have yet to find. We had the Portuguese bread French toast with brown sugar butter, bananas and walnuts. Also the poached eggs on cheesy grits with... More

J.P. Spoonem's is an unassuming place. I have been going there for many years. This is gormet food at greasy spoon prices!! There are 4 or 5 booths and a counter that can seat around 10 diners--a small place with big presence. In the warm weather, there is some seating outside on the sidewalk. While Spoonem's is open for lunch,... More

When you see the place, from the outside, you're not expecting much. Were we surprised. Just about everything on the breakfast menu looked like something we wanted to try. I ordered the Portuguese Raisin Stuffed French Toast (w/bananas, walnuts & brown sugar). Yum! Yum! My husband had the Arizona Benny. Which is a poached egg on hash, black beans, &... More
