Mike's is a great casual place that offers the best Italian American dishes in RI. They make the best polenta, it is rich and creamy and served with a marinara sauce that does not overpower it. Mike's offer fried smelts that are spot on with a light dredging of flour that are always perfect. The whole stuffed artichoke is huge... More

It had been about two years since my last visit......found service to have really improved!! Our servier was friendly and efficient.......but very disappointed with the eggplant parmigiana which is my go to lunch at this restaurant. Prices are fair and generous portions. Not sure if we will return to this restaurant.

I'm from the old country(Italy ) I heard all these wonderful things about the food. I ordered tripe( the stomach of a cow) which wasn't as good as I expected

One of the best kept secrets for excellent Italian food.No atmosphere but great value. In a VFW the food is so good I can't wait to go back. The chefs from the hill go there.

It's nothing fancy, but the Italian menu is every day food Italians eat and very varied. The prices are reasonable and you do get plenty. The average person will not go hungry. The drinks are purchased separate from the food menu for some reason. The service is fine. It has a neighborhood atmosphere. I go there once in awhile.

Mike's kitchen is a above average place to eat, although the chicken tends to be dry and his grinders are nothing special. It seems like the food is pre cooked then heated and served when ordered. The place is PRICEY for the amount of average food that you get.

Mike's is a former VFW post that is now one of the top Italian restaurants around. The staff is the best: welcoming, friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The eggplant provo plate with a side salad is delicious. I always think I'll be taking half of my order home for later…..it has never happened! If you're in RI, you have to... More

Mike is a nice guy, however this place is average at best. The last two times I went there my polenta was burnt at the bottom and my fish was dry. Mike pre cooks his food so if it hangs around a while it will be dry and tasteless Quantity is good and you can't beat the price for what... More

If you're looking for good Italian food this is the best I've found . It's the only place I've been able to order stuffed squid . That's OK , if you don't like squid there are plenty of good dishes to choose from . I don't think you'll bevdisappointed at Mike's .

My office ordered two steak subs (only come in one size) a side of polenta and one individual meatball side. The polenta was very good. Meatball was okay (mine are better and I'm not Italian. The subs, just regular subs with some fat and gristle not cut off, we average. The bill $36.00. WOW~~YIKES...Can that be right? Last order we... More
