Mike's kitchen is a above average place to eat, although the chicken tends to be dry and his grinders are nothing special. It seems like the food is pre cooked then heated and served when ordered. The place is PRICEY for the amount of average food that you get.

Mike's is a former VFW post that is now one of the top Italian restaurants around. The staff is the best: welcoming, friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The eggplant provo plate with a side salad is delicious. I always think I'll be taking half of my order home for later…..it has never happened! If you're in RI, you have to... More

Mike is a nice guy, however this place is average at best. The last two times I went there my polenta was burnt at the bottom and my fish was dry. Mike pre cooks his food so if it hangs around a while it will be dry and tasteless Quantity is good and you can't beat the price for what... More

If you're looking for good Italian food this is the best I've found . It's the only place I've been able to order stuffed squid . That's OK , if you don't like squid there are plenty of good dishes to choose from . I don't think you'll bevdisappointed at Mike's .

My office ordered two steak subs (only come in one size) a side of polenta and one individual meatball side. The polenta was very good. Meatball was okay (mine are better and I'm not Italian. The subs, just regular subs with some fat and gristle not cut off, we average. The bill $36.00. WOW~~YIKES...Can that be right? Last order we... More

This is one of the best restaurants for homemade Italian cuisine in the state... you cannot beat the portions or the price. What it lacks in ambiance is more than made up for with generous portions of excellent Italian-American fare that would impress even the most critical Nonna. Try a stuffed artichoke while you're there, and polenta, and any entree... More

Mike's is as simple as it gets - not the least bit fancy. You're greeted by a "Don't Sit at Dirty Tables" sign and lots of conversational noise. You get two servers - one for food and the other for beverages and cocktails. The selection is rather extensive for a relatively small place - a current VFW Post. The meals... More

No atmosphere, waitresses that look like they want to go home, a separate drink waitress who you pay as you go and great food at a great price. Fish, pasta, soups. It's all good. And my dad says they have some of the best tripe in Rhode Island.

Slip into your jeans, grab some neighbors or friends and head out for an evening of awesome food at this homely restaurant. Totally not fancy but awesome italian fare not to be seconded. I hope to go there Monday PM for rabies and cannelini beans with grilled chicken on top. Ah that is heaven. The fra diablo or the veal... More

This was our first time here. What a pleasant surprise. First off, this place is in a VFW Post. Second, it is not a beautiful place since the tables are in the center of this hall. Third, the food made up for all of it. Really, really good. It was Italian home made as you can get. I had gnocci... More
