Good burgers

I first discovered Stanley's when I was in college in RI. Thirty years later I sill make it a point of grabbing a burger here whenever I am in the area. I have inducted my children so we now have two generations of burger lovers. On our recent visit the four of us put away 10 burgers (i have a... More

Stanley's is a local favorite. It is a typical burger joint with average food, but the sauteed onions on the burgers are amazing. Service is usually very prompt. Nothing sticks out about this place, but something about it keeps us coming back time after time.

When I was living away I would actually stop here before heading to see my folks!!! Love the small greasy patties ( not gonna lie it's probably a heart attack waiting to happen and the burgers are thin) but two burgers with extra pickles and onions please along with a side of delicious fries - been my order for 55... Small place retro decor, but delicious burgers. Hamburg patties on a grill smothered in thin sliced onion with pickles., French fries traditional or unbecoming style melted cheese and meat. Top it off with a fountain drink. Prices reasonable.

I've heard a lot about them and was in Providence and went their on our lunch break. I got the stanley burger. The burger was well prepared and the bun was good but the sauteed onions that it came with overpowered everything else. I had to scrap them off it was such a strong taste, and I like onions. I... Stopped by during a tour of New England. Visiting from the uk at the end of an 18 day holiday ,I was not anticipating to enjoy the fried food quite as much as I did ( a lot of over indulgence previously!).We ordered two double Stanley burgers, dirty fries and onion rings. The food whilst not huge was delicious and... More

Stanley's continues to be one of the best lunch stops serving delicious burgers and their Quebec fries covered with brown gravy and melted cheese are a must! Had the pleasure of dining at Stanley's with a young lady who was visiting from England and touring the Blackstone Valley area. She loved the 50's theme interior of the restaurant and really... You may come here or the selection of burgers with caramelized onions (and a lot of other add-ons) but it's the french fries that you will smell first in the parking lot. And do not miss the chili dogs or chili fries, and try the turkey club sandwich too.
