Le Central is a friendly unpretentious Bistro that is a must stop if you wish to have creatively prepared foods that are delicious and reasonably priced. My wife and I stopped for lunch. We both started with soups, she the onion soup gratinee and I the Littleneck Chowder. Both were excellent. Instead of chopped clams, the chowder contained littleneck clams... More

As you enter Le Central you cannot help but be impressed by the staff's warm greetings and the choice of "sit wherever you'd like". The atmosphere is inviting with clean tables adorned with fresh flowers. Background music suited to the French ambiance and attentive service gets you into a relaxing mood. My wife and I have been Tuesday night regulars... More

My wife and I have dined at most of the restaurants in the East Bay, and our favorite for overall experience is Bristol’s Le Central. The food is excellent and creatively prepared and presented, from the items regularly on the menu like French onion soup, coq au vin, steak frites, and grilled salmon to the specials like roast duck, short... We're regulars who love Le Central for its great food, well made martinis and ambiance. This last visit we had the short ribs special which was great. It seemed like everyone at the bar had it and felt the same way.

Delicious duck frites and house salad with a delightful Bordeaux. My husband had a pastrami special with red cabbage puree and pickled mustard seed. The service was pleasant without being intrusive. Water glasses were never empty. I will return again and again...

My wife and I go here on at least a weekly basis, although I (and I am not sure why) have never reviewed Le Central previously. The food is very creative and yummy. The service is ALWAYS top-notch! The atmosphere is delightful, as well. Try the Steak Frites (Jessie, the Chef/Owner, makes the best French Fries around) or the Lobster... More

I had lunch with friends here during the Holidays. The menu is varied and interesting. Hard to choose. Good and spicy Bloody Mary, grilled shrimp salad, smoked salmon on pumpernickle, chowder, and a great list of specials. The chowder is presented with little necks in the shell. Very nice presentation but not the best chowder in Rhode Island. Otherwise everything,... More

As an appetizer I had the Jonah Crab Cake and Radish Salad, which was perfectly prepared and had an attractive presentation. My entre was the lamb (Grilled Rack of Lamb Ratatouille & Pommes Anna) which was excellent. The Pommes Anna is thin and just the right size so that I don't feel like I am eating more potatoes/starch than I... More
