I had lunch with friends here during the Holidays. The menu is varied and interesting. Hard to choose. Good and spicy Bloody Mary, grilled shrimp salad, smoked salmon on pumpernickle, chowder, and a great list of specials. The chowder is presented with little necks in the shell. Very nice presentation but not the best chowder in Rhode Island. Otherwise everything,... More

As an appetizer I had the Jonah Crab Cake and Radish Salad, which was perfectly prepared and had an attractive presentation. My entre was the lamb (Grilled Rack of Lamb Ratatouille & Pommes Anna) which was excellent. The Pommes Anna is thin and just the right size so that I don't feel like I am eating more potatoes/starch than I... More

One of our local favorites for lunch or dinner. My favorite dishes are the clam chowder with clams in their shells and the fish dishes in the cast iron pots, but on this last occasion my wife and I both chose the Prix Fixe menu at $35 each. This included three courses. We both chose mushroom soup, brisket with wonderfully... More

We went to Le Central for brunch the other day. She had been there before, I had not. It is very simple inside, not French except for some posters and not Irish except for some music. The food was great. The duck mousse appetizer was delicious. The Eggs Florentine was one of the best brunch dishes I have ever had.... More

The food is delicious and for a very reasonable price! It's truly a hidden gem in Bristol where Persimmon and DeWolf Tavern get all the "press"!

This gem of a restaurant in the heart of downtown Bristol is unpretentious, with excellent service, and French-inspired bistro fare that satisfies. We shared the plat de mare, a platter of lobster, shrimp, oysters, and mussels, served with three sauces, a cocktail sauce, a mignonette, and a creamy aioli. We tried the lobster Mac and cheese (succulent and creamy, not... More

Nice enough, some good dishes, overall good service, but the experience was disappointing for the money. Noithing terribly wring, but nothing outstandly right, either. However, downtown Bristol has definitely been spiffed up in recent years and the overall ambience of the area is delightful. We just feel we could have gotten more bang for the buck and a more memorable... More

The ambiance and food took us back to Paris. It was a "special tuesday night menu" and my foie gras was terrific. We had lots of great conversation and perfect service. What more could one want??

Excellent clam chowder with whole clams in the shell, nicely diced ingredients added texture and interest. Algerian chicken made for an out of the ordinary choice. Easy to hear each other during good conversation. Nicely understated and classy service.

We had a great dinner here before our tour of Musee Patamecanique. Ordered the Moules au Feu and two glasses of red wine (Great wine list) Be sure and get plenty of bread to sop-up that sauce. Split the Plateau Royal entree (a split lobster). A very special place for a very special night. Split Whole Lobster
