Ducked in here for a quick bite and the food was very good- our waitress, wish I caught her name, was really wonderful. My 84 year old father was having trouble eating the shrimp bisque because it was so hot and she immediately offered a shallower bowl that would cool quicker- problem solved. Had a flavorful mojito with muddled mint.... More

My wife and I had dinner at this lovely restaurant this past Saturday Night. What a great experience. Just an FYI, they do not accept reservations for parties less than 4. We arrived around 6:00 so the place was not very crowded. They have tables by the windows that overlook the street and add to the pleasant experience of this... More

My sister recommended this quaint, comfortable bistro for lunch. The have a very well thought out menu and wine list. My husband started with the seafood soup. It was exactly what a clam chowder should be... Creamy but not at all thick and full of starch to thicken it. My sister and I share the charcuterie plate. The foie gras... More

We had dinner at Le Central on a Friday evening in early May and walked in without a reservation. The restaurant was only half full at about 7:30 p.m. but it started to get more crowded as we were eating. The food was excellent, especially the clam chowder which was very light and delicate. The cod and clam roast, coq... More

Fantastic, imaginative food. The best Steak Frites ever. Great lunches. Reasonably priced, friendly service, comfortable setting, low level background noise. Owner-chef Jesse James (!) has an excellent, varied, high level experience, and it show in his wonderful dishes.

My wife and I love it here. We try to come a couple of times a month for brunch and always sit at the bar. Service is fast and friendly and it's always VERY tasty. We usually share the dishes we order so we've been able to taste a wide range of the dishes. I recommend the Goat Cheese And... More

My family of five had a lovely brunch here recently. My son is a student at Roger Williams so we drove down to spend the afternoon together. My daughter is vegan, and other than salads, which she eschews in restaurants, there are no vegan options on the menu, but our server and the chef worked with us and created a... More

Bristol is fortunate to have several good restaurants. Le Central is a favorite of ours, and we go there several times a month. Quality and flavor of the French dishes are always superb and the size of the portions do not give you guilt feelings after finishing dinner. Steak Frites and Moules Frites are favorites. Service excellent and the owner/... More

This past Sunday I was with friends walking around Bristol when we decided to go to dinner at Le Central. Now I have been their for Sunday brunch and one package deal with a concert and dinner but never just dinner alone. I will admit to being afraid of the dinner prices and thinking well I can have a soup... More
