Fine dining in Rhode Island

Nothing but excellent in our book. Prix fix menu for the holiday eve. Small but very cozy ambiance. Service is outstanding.

This is probably Rhode Island's best kept secret - hand's down one of the top restaurants in New England. The meal was incredible and the plating was superb. I can't find enough superlatives to describe this place - if you're a real foodie and you want a fabulous meal then go to Persimmon. The first time we went my wife... More

My wife and I went last night: pre the local theatre production in Warren. We were both super impressed, by the setting, service and cuisine. Kevin was our main waiter: he was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. We will be returning again, soon.

Persimmon is our go to special occasion restaurant. The portions are the perfect size so you do not leave with the overly full and stuffed uncomfortable sensation. This establishment clearly loves and respects food and plates it like a work of art. They create a gorgeous presentation and the flavors are unparalleled. Expect to pay for the experience, but it... For the last couple of months I have held off on sharing my experience at Persimmon because I wanted to craft a review that would do Persimmon justice, but the fact is I cannot. My dinner at Persimmon on Aug. 5, 2014 was far and away the best meal I have ever had. The restaurant boasts an intimate interior, a... More

I visited Persimmon with another couple one night and had a lovely evening. It is very upscale but the food is quite good. I hear that they have a wine pairing menu with several courses that I would love to go back and try sometime. It is a bit pricey, but the food was very good, and dessert was quite... More

Can't say enough about what a great experience my husband, me and our two friends had here. Warm, friendly, intuitive, knowledgable staff. Menu so good all four of us had trouble picking just one appetizer and one entree apiece. Food met or surpassed what we expected from the menu. Corn & Jonah crab chowder to die for, octopus appie delightful... More

Small intimate restaurant in Bristol, Rhode Island. Ate Foie gras for a starter done 2 ways, best I have had outside of Paris (the portion was slightly, only slightly on the small size). My companions loved their starters too. Main course of Rhode Island seafood ragout was delicious, subtle flavours marrying really well together, finished with 3 artisanal cheese, my... More

I've eaten at Persimmon several times, and have always enjoyed my meal. The atmosphere is not the greatest, I don't like it when I pay over $100 for a meal, and I feel like I am dining with all the others next to me. I respect the quality of the cuisine, and creativity, although I have always felt a bit... More
