I sat at the bar and talked to the bartender and foodie Kevin: * amuse bouche of asparagus soup * glass of light red - Dolcetto * killer house-made sourdough bread with some whole wheat * appetizer #1 - sweet pea soup with english peas, gnocchi, pork belly and sous vide'd pullet egg. We tried the grand tasting menu with wine at Persimmon last night to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and everything was perfect, from the service to the creative dishes and the thoughtful wine choices. At every step, we felt the like the chef was having a great time experimenting with unusual taste and textures. Every dish and every wine was a... More

This restaurant is a gem. Dinner was great, service was excellent. We were lucky enough to get a table during restaurant week which made the dinner an excellent value as well. Wine selection was good and the prices were reasonable. A birthday candle made dessert special and we never even mentioned a birthday to the lovely woman waiting on us.... More

This restaurant is owned by a sweet couple who really know how to use local ingredients to their fullest. Each dish is prepared using local ingredients (farm to table) whenever possible. The meat and provisions are even sold in a separate shop in Barrington, RI. Delish.

My wife and I were visiting friends in Bristol for New Years and since they had been raving about Persimmon we offered to take them there for dinner. We had the chef's menu with wine selections. Between the amuse bouche (2), 5 spectacular courses, and thoughtful wine selections it is clear this restaurant deserves it's reputation as the best fine... More

Nothing but excellent in our book. Prix fix menu for the holiday eve. Small but very cozy ambiance. Service is outstanding.

This is probably Rhode Island's best kept secret - hand's down one of the top restaurants in New England. The meal was incredible and the plating was superb. I can't find enough superlatives to describe this place - if you're a real foodie and you want a fabulous meal then go to Persimmon. The first time we went my wife... More

My wife and I went last night: pre the local theatre production in Warren. We were both super impressed, by the setting, service and cuisine. Kevin was our main waiter: he was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. We will be returning again, soon.

Persimmon is our go to special occasion restaurant. The portions are the perfect size so you do not leave with the overly full and stuffed uncomfortable sensation. This establishment clearly loves and respects food and plates it like a work of art. They create a gorgeous presentation and the flavors are unparalleled. Expect to pay for the experience, but it... For the last couple of months I have held off on sharing my experience at Persimmon because I wanted to craft a review that would do Persimmon justice, but the fact is I cannot. My dinner at Persimmon on Aug. 5, 2014 was far and away the best meal I have ever had. The restaurant boasts an intimate interior, a... More
