Great Bar Service & Live Entertainment

My wife and regularly stop in for an after dinner drink and to listen to the live entertainment in the bar. The two bartenders are excellent both as to their attentiveness and personalities. They have three or four regular duos for entertainment. The best is Half Step Down. There is another... read more

Consistency: Stunning view, poor service, mediocre food. I wish that our first visit was just an off day but our return visit was much of the same. Although the restaurant was not busy, our waitress never came to check on us or even look our way, once she dropped off the food. Our attempts to flag her down as she... More

Recently stumbled upon this place on a trip home from Newport. Prices were a little high but the food was amazing. So delicious everything perfect. Boyfriend had swordfish steak and it was presented with 5 star quality. I chose lobster fisherman style. Lots of lobster meat! Great to go at dusk. The view was breath taking and when they lit... Luxurious setting for an elegant seafood celebratory dinner. Traditional Christmas greens, several decorated trees, and a crackling fireplace enhanced the wall of windows facing Bristol Harbor. We arrived early enough to enjoy an amazingly brilliant sunset as we dined on a feast of superb New England Scallops Nantucket baked with crumbs, sherry & cheddar cheese, potatoes Lyonnaise, and fresh green... I've only been here twice, but the experience does not leave me wanting to go again. Offhand and slow service and mediocre food. Popular with tourists because of the location. Maybe this leads to the so-so attitude.

I had the filet mignon and it was delicious, especially with the sauce they provided. We were there at dusk and got to see them feeding the tarpon that had gathered around the dock. It was fascinating. In case you wonder why I didn't get any of the seafood dishes, l'm allergic. My dinner companion had the seafood and said... More

Great view and very impressionable service the greeting was the worse part, we were not felt welcome at all by the hostess, not a busy day either. Food was average. This place should be awesome with the location

We love this place at sundown. On the water with spectacular western views of the bay. we mostly get drinks and apps as the dinners are expensive and medium. However it is a fabulous place to snack and cocktail.

Beautiful view of the bay, great cocktails, nice Saturday night entertainment in the bar area but the reason we came here were the lobsters. 1, 11/2, an 2 ponders were offered. We all ordered the 1 1/2 pounders. They were pricey at $40 but that was ok because we were very excited to have this treat. When I mentioned to... More

The waterfront setting is just lovely, and every table has a view. Unfortunately, the service has been poor on every visit and food extremely inconsistent: wavering from good to average or worse.
