We enjoyed cocktails on the lawn off of the porch looking out at the Atlantic Ocean... lovely setting. We dined on the patio that also has a wonderful view. Entrees were fantastic... The appetizers were somewhat disappointing... the eggplant was undercooked which was really too bad since it was grown right on the property. Also, the edamame was nothing special..... More

Spring House may be a little pricey but definitely worth it. I was on BI alone and visited Spring House for dinner. I sat at the bar where the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had martinis and bento box which was delicious. There was a live band that night as well so stayed most of the night there.... More

The food was just ok... As we just had pizza maybe that wasn't much of a chance to give. The view of the harbor and sunset made an otherwise pedestrian pie memorable. Nice place for a cocktail.

This restaurant is slightly pricey, but it’s worth it. First, it sits on the Atlantic Ocean shore. The view is spectacular. We started with beet salad and New England clam chowder. The chowder was thick and, unlike so many clam chowders, actually tasted like clams. Then we ordered artichoke and goat cheese flat bread and a scallops entree. The scallops... More

We had a great table with a sweeping view of the ocean which was nice. The service from our waitress was not great but the manager stepped up and made it much better. The food is however way overpriced for what you got and it was not the best. I would recommend for drinks and the view.

We were looking for this Inn, specifically to enjoy the feeling of being back in the 1880's on Block Island. That's when this building was opened. The staff was very friendly and we found ourselves drawn to the outside bar on the veranda, which was practically the epitome of our extended weekend "on the Block". I ordered a specialty drink... I travel by boat to Block Island every summer. The wife and I always make the Spring House our special night. Five years ago we celebrates my wife's birthday with the whole family, ten people, one of the Lobster diners was small and the claws were meatless. The restaurant manager refused to remove it from the bill. I have not... More

It's a tough act to follow after dining at Eli's. We waited too late to get into the formal dining room and had to settle for the gloomy, utterly pedestrian bistro next door. The room is dark and the feng shui all wrong. Never again. The food was average at best. Pricey, too. The same price as Eli's. The service... More

You feel like you are in another era when you stop on the unique beautifully maintained Spring House property. We are foodies, and so The Spring House restaurant is our new favorite BI restaurant, for a fine quality meal. We went with a group of 11 and all of us were thrilled with the quality of the meal and the... More

The ambiance and service were great. Nothing beats the views from the Spring House. We ate in the dining room, though i liked the decor of the Tap room better. Wanted the dining room menu, though. The food overall was good, except for my entree. Someone needs to remind the chef that there is supposed to be saffron in paella.... More
