Based on the recommendation of the innkeepers of our B&B, we tried Eli's and found it to be as good as they said. The food was freshly prepared - the scallops prepared to my husband's liking and the sea bass to mine. The location in the heart of the activities was ideal to walk to. We were not disappointed.

Been going to Eli's for many years. We have always enjoyed solid fare there. I had the scallops last night and my wife had the pasta. Both meals were very good. Service was good and the decor of this tiny place is nice. It is fairly expensive though. Overall a fine dining experience on the Block.

We have been going to Block Island for years and this time wanted to eat at new restaurants. The reviews for Eli's are very good and our meals did not disappoint. The calamari appetizer was simply the best I have ever had! I had the porcetta and it was so tender and delicious. Others had the shrimp and grits and... More

We had their calamari, which was prepared in an Asian fusion style. The mahi mahi and the red snapper were delicious and perfectly cooked. The prices are a bit high, but are certainly comparable to other places on the island that are do not offer this quality of food. Worth a visit.

My husband and I visited Block Island for a few days and both nights for dinner we ate at Eli's. The first evening, a beautiful Monday evening, we got there a bit after 7 PM and only had a little bit of a wait. Our apps were delicious, especially the beet and ricotta. The bread was amazing, and our entrees... More

Since they do not take reservations we arrived 15 minutes before they opened at 6 and there was a line of 10-12 people when they opened. The tuna taco was spectacular with sushi grade tuna, seaweed salad, pickled ginger well seasoned with fried wanton on the side. The calamari portion was huge. It was fried in a light potato starch... Went to Eli's on a recent trip to block island and wasn't really impressed. First, I found the menu short and a bit boring. We had a large party, we travel with a large party twice a year and go to at least 5 different restaurants each time when we are away, but at this restaurant, and this one only,... More

Enjoyed dinner at Eli's very much. We were seated upon arrival, no wait! We started with the tuna nachos, which were different but had a wonderful taste. My husband & I both ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly. We were both happy we had decided on eating at Eli's since there are so many choices in Block Island.

For my birthday, I was taken to Block Island and on our first night ate at Eli's - not my first time at this eatery. We were there in 2002 as well. Nothing much has changed. The food is simply exemplary. My hubby and I are major foodies (we live in NYC. Duh.) We don't eat meat, so we can't... More

This is a small restaurant with a very casual atmosphere, but with very good food. The stuffed clams and beet salad were very good. There is no real outlook from the dining room but we stayed at the Atlantic Inn which more than makes up for walking into town after being at the scenic porch of the Inn.
