As far as I'm concerned this is a must if you like lobster. Their hot butter lobster roll and lobster avocado BLT is off the charts. I also had the mussels and they were done to perfection.

On a recent visit to Block Island by boat, Dead Eye Dicks was one of the closest restaurants for dinner. We were extremely impressed. We started with a shrimp cocktail that was probably the best we had ever had in a restaurant. The shrimp were huge and very tender. The sauce was great. Two in our party had the swordfish... More

My wife and I had lunch at Dead Eye's yesterday and really enjoyed it. We had been thinking about eating at The Oar but several of the locals, 2 shopkeepers and a cab driver, said Dead Eye was "dead on". We sat on the covered porch looking out on the inlet and bay. The New England clam chowder was very... More

We had the best lunch of our trip here. I had the lobster BLT, my husband had the lobster bisque, and we shared a very unique calamari. All to die for. Cocktails great too.

Overall the food and atmosphere were very good. It was a bit loud, but we were with a toddler, so it probably worked to our advantage. We ordered a variety of foods, from burgers to chicken fingers to shrimp and grits. The calamari appetizer was a hit, as was the enormous desserts. Overall, a really good experience.

Took a brisk walk from the center of town up and down to Dead Eye Dick's. arrived for lunch about 12:00 and had a significant wait. Not sure who was managing (7/20/14) but never saw them and we were here a long time! Server Andrew tried but forgot the waters over and over and provided water rapidly to the customers... More

We went to Dicks on the suggestion of a friend. We were not disappointed! We ate out on the porch one night, and inside the next. We all enjoyed our meals. Mine was so good I had it both visits. Go early, it tends to get busy and loud as the night goes on.

In a week of dining, my best meal was at Dead Eye Dick's. The Shrimp and Grits was inventive and very appealing. However, the boozy, boisterous crowd on a Saturday night severely detracted from the experience. Dick's needs to decide whether it is a fine restaurant or a rip-roaring beer joint.
