Went for dinner and thought this was a solid place. I liked the décor, there was an extensive menu and really great service. I had roasted chicken, and it was excellent. The apple crisp dessert was gigantic and really good. the view of the sunset was amazing.

Dead Eye Dicks has emerged as a great dining place on Block Island. They take reservations inside for larger parties which is a huge plus. The lobster Rolls both hot and cold are delicious. Have eaten here several times and have enjoyed every time. The sangria is excellent as well. Worth a trip!

While the Oar has more charm (because of the oars), Dead Eye Dick's has the better food. One of the top two or three lobster rolls on the island and the hangar steak and burger are delicious. We always make a point of coming here on a nice day and enjoy the views on the deck.

This was a good stop and recommended if you are doing a one day bicycle tour of the island! The outlook over the harbor is nice. We shared the lobster avocado BLT sandwich and really was stuffed with lobster and worth the price.

We were a party of four having a late lunch (around 3PM), We were promptely seated outside so had a nice view of the harbor. Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and efficient, which always makes the meal a happier event. We had the lobster roll, fish tacos and lobster avocado BLT, as well as sangria and beer. We thought... More

Spent a few hours here on a Sunday afternoon. They close food service between 3-5, which was weird to us, being a tourist island in peak season...but we hung out with a beer for an hour and waited. Service was excellent, food decent, crab cakes were amazing but only offered as an appetizer. I would have liked a bit more... More

There was no wait to get into Dead Eye Dick's. The bread came in a fancy cup with oil to dip it in. It was good but a little over seasoned. My son ordered the lobster bisque and declared it the best he's ever had. (He has a sophisticated adult palate and knows his seafood.) I had a bite and... More

Stopped in at the end of a Scooter ride for lunch and had the Fish Po' Boy. Very tasty! The fish was fried crispy and fresh, not greasy, with a nice cajun remoulade. Washed it down with a cold iced tea. The waiter was friendly and on the spot when needed and the view, sitting on the deck is nice... More

The place is outstanding. I wish I owned it. The light lunch we had was exactly what we needed. The Shrimp Cocktail was cold, and had an excellent hint of lemon. The Lobster Bisque was brought cool but once it was returned hot, excellent. The beer was the cheapest I paid for all day @$3. Just what we needed to... More

We came here for a family dinner during our week vacation on Block Island. To be honest, I resisted coming here because of the name and it's proximity to Payne's Dock, which I find a bit seedy. But I'm glad we came! There were 10 of us and we came early (6:30pm) without a reservation. The hostess quickly seated us... More
