Very nice views although we ate inside as it was chilly. Service was excellent and the piano playing was a nice touch.
There are two things that make a dinner at the Narragansett Inn worthwhile. First and foremost is the view from the West side of the porch at sunset. I'm not sure if we were just lucky, but we showed up in the evening without a reservation and were able to get a table on the West side of the porch.... More
The chef at the Narragansett Inn should be commended. The menu is creative and the food is delicous. Everything from the clam chowder to the marinara is a step above and beyond what you typically find on BI. Our first night we enjoyed the Angel Hair Narragansett and the Chicken Narragansett so much we dined at the Narragansett Inn again... More
There is nothing good about this restaurant unless you are a masochist and also love to waste money and your time. The service was appalling, and the food worse. Actually the worst ever. I know Block Island is a part of RI and, therefore, part of the USA, but every service person we encountered this trip (we came by boat)... More
On a recommendation I visited the Narragansett Inn for dinner. I've been to Block Island many times but I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the meal. I had Chicken Marsala and it was delicious. Chef Al Lemire is also an avid surfcaster and prepares local seafood dishes. He'll also give you advice on where... More
Dining on the porch overlooking Great Salt Pond at Sunset is an unforgettable experience. The food is made with care and originality, unlike much of the overpriced food on Block Island, which comes out of Sysco trucks from the mainland. Italian-influenced, original dishes were refreshing after the standard fried and baked stuffed seafood dishes at other restaurants. For less money... More
Although the food was generally good (fried calamari not very crisp, too much salt used on veggies and fish), and the menu variety was interesting, our dining experience was not pleasant. We had wanted to sit outside on the porch, but were told the chairs were "too wet" from the recent storm. After watching another couple sit out there, we... More
Nice menu, variety of choices, tasty meal. Waitresses are very pleasent, from Bulgaria this year. Porch overlooks New Harbor. Bucolic setting. Do not sit near outdoor lights at night. Very buggy.
Dining alfresco on the deck offfers a spectacular view of New Harbor, Block Island. The fresh clams were briny and delicious and the paella could compete anywhere. Service attentive and prices reasonable.
