Ernies is a delightful breakfast find that overlooks Old Harbor. The outside deck offers views of the ocean and Ferry dock while the main dining room looks out on active Water Street. Service was prompt and cheerful.

Best breakfast i've had on the island. Always packed, get there early--especially if you want to eat outside. Good coffee, if you sit at the bar you'll get more refills :-)

“Cozy breakfast spot”

Ernie's has a great location on the harbor. We had a good experience with the staff. The decor is simple and the menu is mostly regular breakfast staples but the Egg Mcody is a standout. I ordered the hot oatmeal, and the waitress suggested adding fresh blueberries.

“Great food, bad service”

We walked into this restaurant for breakfast and where totally ignored. The waitress looked right at us several times and never bothered to greet us. When she finally did greet us she was less than friendly. Fortunately, the food was served quickly and it was absolutely delicious. My only tip to management is to teach their imported staff about U.S.... More
