The focus is on the food here!

Although this charming spot has no ocean view or heavy-on-seafood menu, the food is a few notches above most on the island and the service is totally professional (Lynn was our server!). Food and service here would stand out in New York or Boston. Only complaint: tables are close and the place is noisy. But everything else is fantastic

This resturant is nice. After only dining at 5 or 6 other top reviewed restaurants around the island this is what I found to be the most upscale. The menu has a nice selection, the wine list is long, and the desserts are de-lish. The property is pleasing to the eye and makes for a 'romantic', if you will environment.... More

Recommended by a local we had dinner there with friends, This restaurant hit the mark of excellent, Appetizers, Scallops, Swordfish, Salmon, Steak, all prepared to perfection. Service was wonderful, warm, and friendly, even went next door to get a frozen cocktail that was ordered. This is a restaurant not to be missed, Awesome !

Winfield's is the best restaurant on Block Island. If you go to Block Island and don't eat at Winfield's, don't get on Trip Advisor and talk about the bad meals you had, or even the good ones, because without eating the catfish at Winfield's, you have no decent point of reference. The catfish, served on a bed of polenta with... More

Hands down the best dining experience of the week... Make sure to split the lobster Mac & cheese; it's worth it but 2 or 3 people could share... Cajun catfish for me & New York strip steak were excellent.... Not medium rare as ordered, but excellent... A surprisingly affordable wine list did not disappoint. We'll try Manisses soon, but for... Enjoyed a very good dinner this evening with a friend. I've been to this restaurant many times but it was the first time for my friend. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal, as did I. We shared the mussel appetizer and the Winfield salad. Both were very good...the mussels were extremely fresh in a wonderful spicy, garlic broth. The mixed greens... More

Fine food - excellent service. Limited dessert menu - recently ordered pork belly braised - should have known better.

My husband and I went to dinner on anniversary. Promptly seated and attended to. Ordered bruschetta and Caesar salad. Both delicious and unique taste. Mushroom ravioli for entree was well prepared..my husband had petit filet mignon. Well prepared and very satisfying meal. Ate at most of restaurants on the island and this is definitely one of the best.

I can't say enough about how good our meal was. I had a grilled pork chop and a seared tuna cake. Both of these dishes were very well executed. My wife had the lamb chops and the seared scallops. All the food was cooked perfectly and the flavors were wonderful and original without being overly complicated. This chef really knows... More
