Anna and Steve Papa started a family tradition with a small pizzaria and sub shop on Block Island. Baking and cooking has long been a family tradition, starting with Anna's father, Aldo, and her mother Maria, who helped develop the idea of the Papa's first pizzaria. Over the years just as their family grew so did the restaurant. Now, Aldo's Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant on Block Island has been serving delicious Italian Specialties for over 32 Years! Aldo's prides it selves on our commitment to quality, freshness and customer satisfaction. Aldo's hopes to continue our promise of providing great tasting Italian and American Specialties in years to come. Aldo's offers a number of Italian and seafood favorites all made fresh from only the finest ingredients. Our extensive menu offers a variety of Seafood and Pasta specials, Subs, Salads and Appetizer all made from the highest quality meats, breads and vegetables. We also have a full bar, stocked with all the favorites. Aldos has come a long way from just selling pizza and subs. Aldos is a family run restaurant, both of Anna and Steve's children, Christina and Steve work in the restaurant to help run it every summer. A true Italian family working together to bring their italian specialties to visiting families every season. Ben and Jerry's. Vermont's famous ice cream is here on Block Island! - New location this summer, just 100 yards from the ferry! On Water Street, at the Seaside Marketplace. Enjoy classic Ben and Jerry's flavors plus sundaes, shakes and smoothies. Inquire about our off-premise ice cream parties. What more do you need? Well, maybe this coupon for 10% off. Across from the ferry landing.

My Other Bad Review was Deleted!

Clearly, my most recent review of this horrible establishment posed a threat to the owner because it has been deleted! Hmmm . . .truth hurts, doesn't it? Aldo's is no good. The restaurant is run by rude people. The bakery is also run by rude people who do NOT know what they are doing! My... read more

I have been there once for dinner and a few times for coffee. The food is classic Italian and does not falter. The coffee is fresh and strong and the staff is warm and helpful. Great pizza and sandwiches and if you want a Moped or bike they have rentals as well.

Aldo's is exactly what one should expect in the middle of a tourist town surrounded by moped, cycle, and other rentals along with fudge shops. I didnt eat in the restaurants, I stopped in for coffee in the afternoon. A takeaway, large drip "Seattle's Best" coffee was $3.60. When I review here, I try not to get emotional. But getting... The restaurant was located next to our hotel so it couldn't be more convenient. Each night around 6 pm we would see people start streaming in for dinner, many of whom seamed to be 'locals". It was't extremely busy when we went but the service was very good. However the waiter did get one of our orders wrong (veal instead... More

There are 4 places in the middle of town for ice cream- Block island (cranky vibe), Ben and Jerry's (why, is this Vermont?) the Ice Cream Parlor (home made whipped cream and hot fudge sauce but suspiciously mum on the topic of where their ice cream is made) and Aldo's. I like Aldo's more flavors than you can count, even... More

My wife and I took an early ferry on recent day trip to Block Island and were looking for a place where we could sit, have a cup of coffee, and plan our bike riding day. Someone pointed us to Aldos Bakery, which is attached to Aldo's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria. It is also a very short walk from the... More

Never did breakfast at Aldo's but we tried it and liked it. The egg burritos were excellent and the home fries were just right. The coffee was very good too, no burned taste that I was fearing.

if you want great pizza, go to Aldo's! 8 of us went there and had 3 large pizzas, and two past dishes, and salads. The meat lovers pizza was a hit! 3 of us had the prociutto and arugula salad. The waiter suggested adding carmelized onions and balsamic glaze to it. We went with his recomendation and it was to... More

We have visited Block Island three times and we always end up at Aldo's. You just can't beat them. The Pepperoni Bread is to die for and their Pizza is just as good. I tried their Clam Chowder and I liked it better than the expensive place down the street. If you want affordable, family food with great people and... More
