On a recent Saturday night we had tickets for a concert at the Strand Capitol Theater and were looking for a convenient place to grab dinner before the show. The White Rose came up on several social media review sites and sounded like a good option so we took a shot - and were glad we did. We were able... More

Husband and I and friends went to a Christmas Show at the Strand Capitol yesterday. Our friends had never eaten at White Rose and it was a great experience for all. We arrived a little early and ordered their huge appetizer platter and it was great for all four of us. A combination of coconut shrimp, crab balls, breaded chicken... More

After a long day of visiting the Best Kept Secrets of York County, we came upon the White Rose. Late Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately and received our drinks quickly. I had a roast beef sandwich which was marvelous-- tender, sliced just right. The roll was delicious and certainly complimented the meat. Service was very attentive, filling empty glasses... More

Something for everyone - not many restaurants offer pit beef, pit turkey! The salads are constructed with mixed greens vs. iceberg or romaine lettuce, and are dense and fresh with varied toppings - the best salads in town! Something special about each item, like aioli vs. mayo, that layers flavors! First establishment in town to offer hot rock cooking at... More

White Rose is THE hot spot in York. The food is good to very good, but the best thing about White Rose is the vibe. It's exciting and fun. The glass roof area is terrific. The abstract art pieces in the Philadelphia Street bar are very cool. There's even a smoking bar that allows (and sells!) cigars. Something for everyone,... More

several of us had steaks there and they were cooked to perfection. Only issue is having to waiting for a seat on a Friday or Saturday evening. They do not take reservations.

Last week a friend and I ate at White Rosé on a Sunday. I had the smoked salmon flatbread and she had a cheddar omelet. Both well prepared and service was good. It is a busy place on Sundays and a good stop.

a pleasant surprise in York city. You can get typical bar food or upscale. Their onion rings are great and my favorite is grilled Ceasar salad. Great burgers and put beef. No one is disappointed here.

This is a nice restaurant in York, Pa. The service is usually pretty good, but it can get busy causing some delays and poorer service. The restaurant gets a little loud inside but its a comfortable setting. The food is average to good, depending on what you get. They do have a pretty good beer list, but the last time... More
