Breakfast favorite.

Enjoying one of the perks of retirement, we've had breakfast at the Central Family Restaurant several times. The food is pretty standard breakfast fare. It is the setting that we enjoy: an old fashioned, in-town, friendly place. We'll have to give it a try for lunch or dinner sometime.

Having gone to this place years ago when it was Pensupreme I enjoed returning and seeing all the cool historical photos. The menu is varied and the service is friendly . I have had breakfast and dinner but not lunch. Portions are more than adequate. This restaurant is worth trying.

Food is good but, the prices are too high for a family restaurant. Lots of parking, friendly and warm atmosphere. The cleanliness is poor.

When I was a teacher in York I stopped here many times for breakfast before school. I knew I would be served quickly by a friendly and efficient staff. Central has one of the biggest breakfast menus around at very reasonable prices. This is not a gourmet restaurant, it is locally owned, serves good food at fair prices. Just what... More

i've eaten here before and the food was fine. they need to remove the broiled seafood from the menu. the price was $17.99 so it wasn't cheap! The shrimp were tiny and tough. The fish was a small chunk of dried up haddock and the crabcake was not good at all! I was dissappointed. The baked potato was big and... More

Wonderful menu with different varieties of food mixed together that I've never seen before. I had the special ....a baked casserole with crab cakes and shrimp and some kind of stuffing on the top that was out off this world. You get a lot on your plate.

Tried a lot of restaurants and found this not only to be right around the corner but to serve the best, affordable breakfast in town. Wait staff is excellent. I've been enjoying this place and the family atmosphere for almost 10 years.

This morning was my second-ever visit to this restaurant. It was just as good the second time as the first! I was visited promptly by my server (there's a sign that says to seat yourself) and quickly provided with a glass of water and the coffee I ordered. I ordered a breakfast special with eggs sunny-side up, hashed browns, and... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The meal started off well with some great chicken corn soup. But it went downhill from there. A horrible ham and cheese sandwich. One thin slice of ham. I think the cheese was Velveeta. The French fries were underdone. Nothing worse than raw-ish tasting French fries. My husband's club sandwich was huge... More
