My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The meal started off well with some great chicken corn soup. But it went downhill from there. A horrible ham and cheese sandwich. One thin slice of ham. I think the cheese was Velveeta. The French fries were underdone. Nothing worse than raw-ish tasting French fries. My husband's club sandwich was huge... More

We ate here with a small group of friends, including a couple of kids. The restaurant is neat and clean, the staff is very polite and the food was great. I had a prime rib which was delicious. The place really is very family friendly and the kids enjoyed their meals too. Good selection at reasonable prices.

I have been traveling to York twice a year for over 10 years and only tried this place now because of a group dinner meeting. The waitress was extremely attentive as well al the manager and other waitresses. The place was busy but extremely efficient. The menu is quite lengthy and diverse - over 15 sides alone. I feel that... More

Don't be fooled by the outside and diner-like interior and the low prices: this place is first class. The menu has some specialty items and there is a great selection. This is off the beaten path for a Route 30 traveler, but worth the detour.

I have been going on and off for 30 years, always for breakfasts. Staff is very affable. The place is clean. Specials are priced very good. Coffee is good as well.

Friends recommended this eatery several months ago and finally tried it. So wish we had sooner. We went for breakfast, Sat. morning around 10:30. Seat yourself, waitress was quick to offer menus and back to take orders. We got creamed chipped beef over toast and homegrown. IT FILLED THE PLATE!!! Good price too, I think it was around $8 each.... More

Nice restaurant within walking distance from the ball stadium and downtown York. Family friendly and good for business meetings.

We visited our son who attends York College and we wanted something off campus for breakfast. We found this place and it was packed (which tells me that its good). The prices were cheap and they gave you a lot of food. Looking forward to coming again.

Many people in Germany reduce the American Kitchen to Burgers and Hotdogs. Of course this is as wrong as the believe they all wear cowboy hats. The US have a long tradition of diners and family restaurants where you can get lots of very good american food. The Central Family Restaurant close to the center of York, PA, is one... More
