David and his staff are wonderful, as is the food. The entrees are always fresh and nicely presented.

Owned and operated by David (DahVIDE) who hails from Burgandy, this restaurant reminds me of a good Parisian bistro. The menu is simple, usually about 12 dishes, seasonal, and everything freshly prepared. Prices are reasonable considering the quality. David's wife makes all the desserts and the service is, unlike most Restaurants in France, warm and friendly. I consider thus the... More

My husband and I went for my daughters PSU French class dinner and it was fabulous. Thank you Susan for arranging this, and thank you to owner David and server Emily for making this a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back and soon!

A group of friends came here for lunch today. The meal was fabulous and the service was very good. Several of us had the quiche. First off, this quiche is so light and tall, it's more like a soufflé. We also had the pumpkin soup. It was described as slightly sweet. We agreed it was more of a savory soup,... More

Don't miss the mussels! Don't miss the steak au poivre. Heck, don't miss this place. Wizards with lamb and fresh fish. You get better than you pay for.

I don't normally think of York Pennsylvania as a restaurant destination city, but if you happen to be in York for whatever reason you can't go wrong with this French restaurant. Great atmosphere and great paintings (for sale) in a bistro-like setting. The menu features a lot of French classics; everything we tried was well prepared. The wine list is... More

Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The food was really delicious. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to see our son at college.

we stumbled on this restaurant by accident...and we have gone back many times- it is an intimate place with very personal attention to each diner-the food is wonderful, fresh and delicious....do not miss the she crab soup which was the owner's grandmother's recipe. We usually don't order soup because it is so filling, but here we want a bowl each... More

Enjoying a well prepared meal and a good bottle of wine, that is what Blue Heron is all about. We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. I love the way they prepare the Escargot and my husbands favorite are the Lamb Chops that are one of the specials on occasion. The atmosphere is charming... More

I've been fortunate enough to have traveled in France a couple times, so I was very interested in the Blue Heron. The service, even for a late lunch, was impeccable. Our server was very friendly and detailed oriented and had no problems answering my questions. We got the table with the high back chairs which were super comfortable. The French... More
