Trendy restaurant with good food. A cut or 2 above the nationals with pricing just above the chain restaurants, and food a cut above as well. Was a Friday night and the service was good, especially since they were so busy. Would go again for sure and if you're looking for a slightly upscale place to take friends, family, or... More

Most positive thing I can say about Viva....it was the only thing open on July 4th. The food was fine (some of it "pretty good")....if you're staying at the Marriott Courtyard next door (and want something close and pretty good), this will do the trick. The beer selection was above average....lobster mac & cheese was pretty good.

Food is uninspired and not well cooked (either over cooked or undercooked).service is poor and the server at times was testy. Overall the atmosphere was very noises. It was almost impossible to have a conversation without raising your voice which contributed to the noise.

I was in town visiting family and they suggested that we eat here. The meal was not perfect, but overall it was a good decision. Here are plusses and minuses of the experience. The onion soup was good and the salads that the others had looked very fresh and crisp. The bread was fresh, but not warm (which would have... More

The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable based on the quality. Service and decor made it the best restaurant I have experienced in the Reading area.

Convenient and clean but the food left a lot to be desired. Chicken was dry, veggies were cold. We sent back some of the dishes and they were nice about it and fixed it but that really is not acceptable. Drinks were ok, the do have some fancy special drinks that a lot of the folks around us seemed to... More

Small Omelettes, french toast was baaad, Steak was tough and overcooked. Better food down the street at the West Reading Diner for 1/2 the price. It seems there food changes good to bad to good as they seem to change cooks (Chef is a stretch), but they never forget to put the high price on the junk. Food took a... More

Went to viva for a grad party for first time. We were pleasantly surprised! The menus was very large and the food everyone had was pretty good. I wouldn't say high end but as good or better than chain type places. Our server was very good. I would say a good solid place for a descent meal

Found ourselves in the area a few weeks ago and decided to eat at Viva's. Wow. What a disappointment. They seem to have taken everything that was good about this restaurant and chucked it out the window. What happened to the creative dishes and tapas? What happened to the friendly greeting for that matter? What happened to prompt service and... More
