Pull up a stool, join us at the Mad Mex in Willow Grove, PA. We are Funky and not scared to put fun things together if they taste good. We make just about everything from scratch daily. Inspired by West Coast food: healthy, fun, local, experimental. And microbrews. We don't use any lard but simple marinades of citrus and spices. We love Mexican food and big flavors, big plates, fire and sunshine, beer and tequila to wash it down. That is why we are Funky Fresh Cal-Mex! This ain't no Mexican restaurant, this is MAD MEX! Come in and enjoy one of the best happy hours in Willow Grove.

Upscale Mexican Fare

Visited with friends and had a mixed fajita dinner. Shrimp were done properly beef was not sliced "fajita style" and hard to cut. (Should use skirt steak and not flank steak.) Nachos Grande were enough for four adults. Good variety of draft and bottled beers.

Mad Mex is my wife and I's go to restaurant. The food is always good no matter what you choose. Don't forget to order the Jersey chips. I'm a beer lover and they have it all. When they have the large windows open its even more fun. Try their specials they are always different and good.

Went here for dinner with a group of friend. We only waited about 30 minutes to be seated for a group of 8. The chips and guacamole are good. I had the Mad Mex burrito with chicken. It was very yummy. I was very happy with my choice. I tried the tofu appetizer (sorry I can't remember the name) and... More

Great place to get together with friends or family. Love their burritos and cheese dip. Interesting selection of margaritas and huge craft beer menu. Decor is so funky!

For a chain, Mad Mex has pretty decent Mexican food. The portion sizes are insane, so you'll definitely get your money's worth here. The parking lot fills up incredibly fast on the weekend, so be wary of that. Also, here's my favorite tip: around Thanksgiving, order the Gobblerito. It's an entire Thanksgiving meal wrapped up in a tortilla. You're welcome... More

Have surprised myself that my primary comment is about the very poor cell reception in this restaurant, since it might be out of their control. My phone was on 1x for the entire meal as I sat at the bar, and my battery drained as a result. Now, onto the food/beverages.... Menu is eclectic - and some of the descriptions... More

Mad Mex has become a popular neighborhood spot to get great Mexican cuisine in a edgy atmosphere. They have some of the best margaritas I have ever tried and lots of beers on tap. They have great guacamole (although chips and dips are not complimentary) as well as lots of salsa options. Surrounded by a crazy Mexican theme, this place... More

As a birthday choice, Mad Mex is generally one of our favorite restaurants. This visit was a Sunday night about 6:30 and we had a party of 6 plus a 2 year old. This is the first time we have been seated in the darker part of the restaurant. We were in the back by the kitchen and restrooms. It... More

I like this place as it has many vegetarian options. I like the black bean soup. During lunch (up to 4 PM) they offer lot of combo deals and the prices are reasonable. The decor is a little weird. This place seems like every day is Halloween out here.

...that I have for this place. Edgy atmosphere, great Mexican and some of the best margaritas I've ever tasted! It can get crowded on nice days and the weekends, so try and make reservations if you can. Go for the guac and burritos - they will not disappoint.
