Good Food; Friendly Service

We stopped here en route from Virginia to Upstate New York. The restaurant was close to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by its extensive American/Italian menu. House salads were fresh and substantial. Entrees of scallops with risotto and veal saltimbacco were delicious. We'll be happy to... read more

good service, nice owner... Great cooking, excellent service staff. Much better than the other place, and much less crowded. Go here, you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I ate here for the preset Valentin's Dinner. The price was great but the food itself although looked great was a little bland. The crab claws were delicious and so was the desert. Servers were very nice and ambiance for that day was what we expected. I did have an issue with the reservations. I selected 6:30-8... More

If it wasn't for the wait staff it would have gotten 0 stars. First off we waited to be seated, not because they were busy but because there was no one came over to seat us. The owner finally came over, looked at his watch and said "Oh I thought it was later" Huh, really? This is how you greet... More

Great local restaurant "where everybody knows your name"! Always high quality food. Only the freshest fish. And save room for dessert: the cakes and pies are made by the owners mom - all fresh and with love. The lemon raspberry cake is awesome.

I'm never wowed when I go here. I've visited several times for work lunches and the salads are mediocre at best. I will say the desserts are wonderful though! The banana cake will change your life.

Ordered a chicken Philly cheese steak and it was very bland. Not much flavor at all. The bread was a bit tough as well. So this place was just "okay." Was only able to eat half the sandwich even after trying g to salt and pepper it to give it some taste.

I stumbled across The Café traveling on business. When I entered my expectation was a humble little grill, but found an upscale dining menu. On two subsequent visits over 6 months I have found the food to be excellent, the service generally good. Although one night our server failed to meet my expectations. Menu substitutions were not a problem. Dinner... More

I have been coming here for years. Even before Jeff was in this building. They have a beautiful restaurant. The food has always been 5+. I often went there with friends and would praise Jeff and the food that my husband wanted to have my 50th birthday there. Everything was perfect. My friends and family from out of town raved... I have been eating at the Cafe since it first opened many years ago. It is without a doubt, the best place to eat lunch or dinner. The people are friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is out of this world. I recommend the Cafe with 5 Stars. If there was such a thing as a... More
