The photos do not match the location. There is an Abe's on South Main Street (reviewed) and an Abe 's on Barney Street (pictured). Two completely different locations, different owners, different menus.

Drove to Wilkes-Barre with my aunt to see childhood places and haunts. While driving to find an old movie house (Bucket of Blood, don't know real name) saw Abes Hot Dogs. My aunt who is 79 remembered it as a girl from living in Wilkes-Barre. So we went in and ate. What a great place. Of course, it had been... More

I was travelling through the area and found Abe's hot dogs on Trip Advisor. I exited the interstate and found Abe's in the old downtown area. I passed Abe's once because I was unsure where to park. Don't let the location deter you from stopping here. The hot dogs were extremely flavorful and loved the chili sauce!! The hamburgers are... More

Everyone in the Wyoming Valley has their favorite hotdog spot. This, hands down, is mine. Simple, fast and delicious. The flavors are perfectly complementary... And the best chili to top off the dogs ( you have to get em wit everything -mustard, onions and chili). Been going for years and will continue to.

There was a time I had no problems in the neighborhood. Time has taken its toll but not on the food. Breakfast and lunch were good staff established and know what is expected, good food. Served hot off the grill. Nothing fancy here, who needs fancy just good.

Abe's hotdogs arguably are the best hotdogs in the Northeast. Their sauce is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable. Worth the trip if you are from out of town and if you're local you can not get enough of them.

Abe's Hot Dogs on South Main St. in Wilkes-Barre has the best hot dogs ever. They have a special chili sauce bar none. I grew up eating these hot dogs as a kid. I have moved away from the area now but every time I am back in town Abe's is a definite stop. The place is nothing fancy but... More

We have often visited Abe's when we drive up north to Wilkes-Barre. A very dear friend grew up there and had enchanted us with his tales of ten cent hot dogs when he was young. The hot dogs are now $1.25, but it is sixty years later! We had four dogs and two drinks, and then two pieces of pie.... More

Abe's hotdogs (the South Main Street location) are the best hotdogs you'll ever eat! They're a delicious tradition that's been in the area for many years. If you're in Wilkes-Barre, you have to stop and try one (or two or three). They're simple, but they're the best!
