My friends and I have lunch at the Thai Place about twice a month. We love the food. I always get the Pad See Ew. Delicious. I also like that you can select your own spice level from 1-10. Pad Thai is great too!

I had to try it! And was surprised at the wonderful mix of mango and coconut milk curry. The food was excellent as usual. The waitress was not as friendly as most Thai are likely to be. But she did admit to not be Thai. So on the waitress scale probably only an 8 and the meal a 10.

Best part is the food of course; love the gang dang and having a choice of spiciness. Usually able to get the same table-have been here numerous times. Wait staff is excellent- attentive, unobtrusive and respond to requests promptly. Can always count on a good meal and a good time here.

Many years ago, this place was good. But now, service is crabby and slow. The food is okay. Got sick before from food here. Cauliflower wasn't fresh. The portions have shrunk in size significantly. Management has dropped the ball and doesn't treat customers the way they should. Continue to have unprofessional experiences here and will never go back. Food &... More

So many Thai restaurants are mainly focused on take-out and have a cafeteria atmosphere. This is a REAL restaurant. The menu is extensive and varied. Thai Place is frequented by many of the sports figures in the Pgh area as is evident by the photos on the walls. The meals are very reasonably priced and it is easy to get... More

My wife and I enjoy good restaurants that are quiet and peaceful. Thai Place North fulfills all those requirements. The service is very good and refined, it is quiet without the usual loud trashy music, and the food is always good. We prefer a late lunch where the prices are a bit lower than dinner, the restaruant never seems to... More

The food here was pretty decent. The noodles were nice and spicy, but the flavors were nothing that made it stand out from other Asian restaurants. The atmosphere may have added to the fact I was unimpressed. I would certainly come here again, but not my first choice on Thai places. I know of MUCH better and more memorable places... More

The title of my review says it all. If you find a dish you like, it will always be consistently good.

Tried Thai Place for the first time and it was a ho-hum experience. Food was OK, though pad thai had a heavy sweet aftertaste. Got a spice level 4 and it was bland. At least 2 other Thai places in Pittsburgh that will blow this one out of the water.

Stopped on a whim to try Thai food rather than Chines, and we had a fairly good meal, but as we had a pretty bad day, it would be fair to say we were not in a good mood, so I won't speak ill off this restaurant. We had spring rolls to start, they were okay, followed by garlic shrimp,... More
