Something Good in a Small Town!

From the outside of this little restaurant, you'd never guess what unfolds on the inside: a wide array of appetizers, main dishes, salads and desserts meant to be carefully selected and savored oh-so-slowly. My husband and I are always looking for new places to try so after reading reviews we decided to try here. It's in an older building but they used that to their advantage, the decor was nice and inviting. The staff was very friendly and knew the menu and gave nice suggestions. Please don't get me wrong, the food was... More

NY style dining with local pricing. Excellent food, great value. BYOB. Quaint, cozy atmosphere, in a store-front setting. Very pleasant staff.

The ambiance and the atmosphere are nice, which adds to their attempt to be a 5 star restaurant. The food was tasty, not exceptional, and well presented, although "very small" portions. Our server did stop at our table several times to check on our needs during the meal, not the most personable, she did do her job. We have eaten... More

Being new to the area, we chose this restaurant based upon trip advisor reviews. As usual, they were correct. Quaint local place where they appeared to know at least half the patrons by name. Cozy, not real fancy, with excellent home made food. This is definitely going to be a place that we frequent as we become "locals" ourselves.

Sometimes when traveling, we just want to have a quick meal and get back on the road. But on a trip last summer, I wasn't going to be satisfied with a fast meal from a chain restaurant. I used my phone to find restaurants in a city we were near and we took a bit more time over lunch. Our... More

Any restaurant with the innocuous name of "Martin's" could easily be overlooked. But this one would have made the late Dean himself slide down a pole, light a cigarette, pour a drink, and find a seat on one of the mismatched chairs. The place is not on the Vegas strip. The only strip you might find would be an anthracite... More

We had dinner here on a recent stop in Hazleton, and definitely plan on returning. We stopped without a reservation, to find all tables already reserved or full--yet the owner found a way to fit us in and serve us--tired and hungry travelers appreciated this very, very much. The place is as described, eclectic--which suited us just fine. The food... More

The food here is comparable to any 5 star restaurant. The chef is always offering new & exciting menu choices. Service is excellent & the place is very eclectic (mismatched tables & chairs). Very chic & quaint. Martin's does not have a liquor license. Don't forget to stop at the State Store (for those of you from other states, that's... More
