Decided to give Mi Cocina a try, but had avoided it because it is located in a strip mall and is BYOB. My husband grew up in Kennett Square and is picky about his Mexican food and ate there after seeing the great tripadvisor reviews which are typically accurate. We like to enjoy a cocktail with dinner we brought along... More

Everything we have tried has been good. Food is fresh from the chips on. A must try is the lamb dish in spicy mole sauce. Friendly and good service.

We have eaten at Mi Cocina dozens of times, and it is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We have ordered their molcajete - it is awesome. It is rather large, which makes it great for sharing! Love their burrito made vegetarian with mushrooms and jalapenos! They also put sauteed bell peppers, rice, and cheese in it. Delicious!... More

My wife and I enjoy this restaurant a lot. This family owned and operated establishment is a great down to earth place. The food is great and prices are good. We had a chicken and chorizo fahita and a burrito ranchero (filled with tinga, a spicy chicken that is delightful). We highly reccomend this restaurant. On another note the molcahete... More

The decor is loud, strip-mall fun. Bright colors and a wide open room lack intimacy, but I don't think that's the point. This is a noisy, fun place, with Mexican music playing the whole time. The menu is quite extensive and has some nice surprises, like spice-rubbed lamb. Of course, all the "usual suspects" are there with a dizzying array... More

This is a great place to enjoy an authentic Mexican dish! Food is always at its best, staff always friendly, and prices are affordable, and let's not forget its BYOB. The chicken in mole sauce its my favorite dish! Tamales are amazing too (which are hard to find) if you haven't tried this place you deffenetly have to!

Located in the shopping center -to the right of the Giant. Authentic tasty Mexican food. I love the burritos. The salsa is nice and fresh. The prices are reasonable. It is a BYOB, so pack a cooler. Nice atmosphere. The waitresses are very friendly. We go there often and really enjoy it. Glad we found this new spot!

We ate at Mi Cocina about a year ago after we moved into a neighborhood close by. We were really hoping that this place would have good Mexican food. That was not the case. It was severely overpriced and the food was not really very good. Since then we've always driven to Kennett or Avondale for far better Mexican food.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant about 1-2 per week and love their food. The service is always excellent, even when they are packed which is common. We've not had a bad dish at Mi Cocina in the 3+ years we've been coming. The food is always fresh and hot. Our favorite dishes are the chalupas, tacos, burrito ranchero,... More
