Need to return to their roots!

My husband and I have celebrated our anniversaries at Dilworthtown for 29 years. It's reputation was built on its historic ambiance, classic, excellent food, and impeccable service - definitely the place to go for that very special occasion! They seem to have lost some of what built that... read more

Inn has really old and rustic decor like you would expect but the menu was about the same, old and staid. The food was old style and not very good. Had lobster and crab meet risotto and almost found a piece of meat and the taste was bland. If they had poured the lobster bisque over it would have been... More

Love the location, historical building. Quite expensive but Awesome food.. The service is outstanding but our waiter stayed in the room where we ate with another table separate from us...seemed like you couldn't have a private conversation with your significant other.. Not my cup of tea!

I love everything about the Dilworthtown Inn. They are accommodating and friendly, giving VIP service every time I go there. The food is wonderful - my favorites include the crab cakes, the soups, actually everything. Great for a special occasion or a business dinner when you want to be assured of a delicious meal, excellent service and atmosphere. I go... More

It was the first weekend away since having our first child and both my wife and I wanted a truly great experience. We were not disappointed with the facility, the staff and the selection and taste of food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality and intimate environment.

My whole life I have heard how amazing this restaurant is. There have been some negative reviews lately on Trip Advisor, but I chose to move forward. This was sadly a mistake. The history behind this restaurant is enchanting and the atmosphere is authentic and interesting. The staff, although they are slow with service, were very nice individuals. Unfortunately, they... Dinner here Saturday evening March 28 was a deep disappointment. Lobster bisque was ok, but entree of New York strip steak was quite dry, though ordered medium, it was far more cooked than restaurants typically cook steak ordered medium. It came with a cornbread stuffing that was equally dry and non-appetizing. Caesar's salad was good. Dessert my wife and I... More

I'm glad I didn't read the negative reviews prior to our most recent visit, it may have ruined it for me. This beautiful, candle-lit, historic inn has been a favorite of ours for 30 years. We don't visit often, only on special occasions. We were not disappointed at all. We had a lovely table near a fireplace, The food was... More
