A romantic dinner for two.

This is a lovely quaint inn. There are several tables in many different rooms. The atmosphere is very romantic as long as there isn't a party of loud talkers in the same room. The food is very good but a bit pricey. Overall a very nice place for a romantic dinner.

A perfect dining experience. The food was excellent. Well made cocktails. An attentive waitress. A warming fire from the fire place. Quiet and relaxed. All in a tastefully appointed room.

If you are ever in the West Chester, Pennsylvania area, be sure to have lunch or dinner at the Dilworthtown Inn. You won't find a more classic atmosphere. The grounds and walls of the Dilworthtown Inn seep history. Decor is colonial, traditional charm. However, the the ambience of the Inn in the evening is what makes it so special--the candlelight... Our first time here, despite living nearby for years. Ordered the Brie with Cherries appetizer, the mushroom soup and both were delightful. Then the Chateaubriand was fantastic! Huge portions of very tender beef with tasty grilled asparagus, carrots and mashed potatoes. We didn't expect all the vegetables, so we got the fresh corn with three butters - sea salt, maple... Unfortunately our visit to the Dilworthtown Inn for a friend's birthday celebration turned out to be a disappointment. We were seated in a far back room where one other couple was seated, Waiter was very slow. It took us 30 minutes of waiting, and a visit to the Hostess station to get the waiter to stop by and take our... More

We went to Dilworthtown Inn for my wife's birthday on Sunday, September 6. It being the day before a national holiday when most people are at the shore or cooking out, the restaurant was not crowded. WE both had soup and fish, but no two of the items were the same. Everything was delicious, nicely prepared and nicely plated. However,... More

Dilworthtown Inn was recommended to us by Hamanasset B&B. The food was absolutely scrumptious. My wife had the salmon, which was wonderful, and I had grilled swordfish. I haven't had swordfish for years and this was fantastic. It was grilled and blackened a bit, and it came over a very imaginative concoction made with lentils, pistachios, pomegranates and feta cheese.... More

Haven't been here in awhile. Decided to take my mother for her birthday dinner. Atmosphere is rustic and perfect for dinner. My wife had filet mignon and my daughter had chicken, both dinners were perfect. My mother and I had the crisp lobster. Bad choice! Lobster was over cooked and was very tough to chew. The restaurant was not crowded... More

Neither the place nor the menu have changed in years, but since this has always been a special occasion place, that's a good thing. Classical dishes, impeccable service, and attention to your special requests make this a place to celebrate something.

We have been guests at the Dilworthtown Inn for special occasions as well as just an evening out, maybe for 40 years. Now with no manager the restaurant is often chaotic and disorganized. Ron Bannister kept things running smoothly and always made guests feel welcome. Even when the food was problematic we continued to go. Now the food is hit... More
