We have been going to the Dilworthtown Inn for 22 years; we were married there it has been a very special place for us. No longer. We have not been as happy with it over the last several years but our sentimentality kept us returning. The food has been very dated and quite frankly the place has been trading on... More

Have been to the restaurant several times, this used to be a top notch 5 star location. Now it is still good but not as good as it used to be. Service has gotten slow and the food is hit or miss. Some items we had were every good others were average at best.

We arrived around 5:15pm after spending a lovely afternoon at Winterthur / Downton Abby Costume Exhibit! We did not have a reservation, but were greeted very warmly by the matre'd . We were seated in a small dining room and did ask to be changed to a table by the window. Our servers were friendly and very knowledgeable about the... More

We were visiting the area on our birthday (my husband and I share a birthday) and we wanted to go someplace special. We were not disappointed in the Dillworthtown Inn. Our food was expertly served and the staff was very attentive even though we were seated in a separate room. Definitely worth the price for a first class meal.

Great historic facility, several small and romantic rooms, couldn't be much better from that perspective. Service is always excellent, very knowledgeable staff, very polished. Food is pricey but that's normally okay but two orders of duck were seriously undercooked - the orders were for medium rare and what we received was nearly raw. Once the dishes received additional attention from... More

This is our favorite restaurant to go to for special occasions. It is an old colonial inn with lots of romantic, candlelit small areas, many with fireplaces. We have returned several times and are never disappointed. The only thing that ruined it the last time was some rude woman who spent most of the night on her cellphone....but that wasn't... More

Besides the one other patron in the tavern who was too loud talking to the barkeeper we enjoyed a birthday dinner here on the way home from Lancaster. So much nicer than the myriad of chain options enroute. We called and asked if we could sit in the tavern as we were a bit casual and welcomed with full service.... More

Dilworthtown has been around forever, which tells you something. The setting is serene and traditional. The food is very good; however it is overpriced. Compared to other restaurants in West Chester area, you'd be better spending your money elsewhere UNLESS you prefer a very calming atmosphere, someplace to get engaged.
