Overpriced

Overpriced for what you get. Salad description looked interesting, was plain Jane when it arrived. Everything tasted rather bland, the coffee was weak.

My wife and I were in the Wayne area and decided to have a bite to eat at Matador for lunch. I liked the atmosphere inside and our waiter was really nice. We started with a couple of margaritas (blood orange flavored and the other that had prickly pear). They have an extensive range or tequilas and can order flights... More

I'm not in Wayne as often as I used to be, so this restaurant was new to me when I was there a few months ago. Every dish was on point, but I was most pleased with the Champinones en Verde, as they tasted exactly like a favorite dish from a DC restaurant I frequented back in the 1980s, which... More

I recently visited Matador for a Sunday brunch. It was delicious. I had an amazing omelet but the best part was the "Make your own Bloody Mary Bar" They gave you the vodka of your choice in a large glass and then it was off to the bar! There must have been a dozen different kinds of Bloody Mary tomato... More

Two level restaurant. Tapas inspired, some interesting items. Portions were not small, twice the size would be small. There were three dinners. We each ordered soup: one mediocre 3-4 ounces of gazpacho ($7) and two 4-5 ounces of good black bean ($8). A small serving of mixed olives ($9). And three other small sized dishes (good-not great!) One soda and... More

We had a girls weekend and I suggested Matadors...I have been there before with co workers and we always had so much fun drinking Margaritas and dining....start off with the Guacamole, then we had the Fajitas....excellent....was back again with others a week later.

We just went here for lunch after visiting Villanova. My husband and son had the pulled pork special on flat bread which was a little dry but tasted good. I had a shrimp wrap with beans which was a little salty but had a really good taste. We both had a glass of sangria and it was surprisingly good.

Been here many times and a decent brunch & bloody mary bar but this particular visit irritated me. I called to check on the happy hour times as was planning on just dropping in improptu with a friend. Then asked if we could sit outside and get happy hour - answer was yes. We come over and I ask the... More

My husband and I go to Matador frequently. The wait staff and the bartenders are very nice. Although last night (Oct 10 @ 9:15 pm) we experienced something different from the hostess. She was just rude and pretty much could care less about the customers. We ended up leaving because of her rude behavior and most likely won't be back.... More
