Great Brunch

Please note that this is not Mexican but more consistent with Spanish food. That's what we were looking from as it's not easy to find in the area. We tried numerous tapas and then split the paella. All was very good. The sangria was OK. We were seated downstairs, which puts you in the bar area. Since it was a... More

Visited Matador with my wife the other night. First off the atmosphere of the place feels very hotel california. Having visited the Hotel myself, the decor did a great job capturing the feel of some of the mission towns throughout Mexico. The food wasn't bad, but Mexican food isn't fancy, or overtly expensive so why was the food? There are... More

My husband and I enjoy this restaurant; this was our 3rd visit to Matador, and they always serve very good food. The dining room upstairs is very nice, and there's Spanish music playing. I enjoy their Sangria, and always have a glass. We try to have 2-3 dishes each, so we can share and try different things. Try the shrimp... More

I took a group of friends here for dinner, as they wanted a place where it wouldn't be too loud to visit and where we could get good food. Although the waiter suggested that we order at least three tapas per person, my husband and I each had two, and that was more than enough. You can always start out... More

Good, friendly service with tasty fresh, sharing dishes make this a relaxed place to eat when in town. Wines by the glass palatable and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

Was in the area and decided to pop in - reviews were solid so thought why not since in the happy hour timeframe. Found margaritas to be a great value - original as well as the mango. Ordered a couple apps and then dinner - all excellent. Food outstanding. A bit pricey? Maybe. But the quality, in my opinion, worth... More

We love to head here with friends for happy hour and great margaritas. Nice wine list. Food is OK, not great. I don't think the menu has changed since the place opened.

Vegan mom, Nova dad, persnickety 3-year-old, Cuban grandmother, and grumpy grandpa all found something to love at Matador. Waiters were attentive, efficient, and good-humored. The 9 tapas we shared were quite good. Gazpacho and ceviche were not quite up to par. Guacamole prepared tableside was great entertainment and a good reminder that simple ingredients can produce outstanding taste. The creamy... More

My wife and I took our granddaughter and her roommate to dinner when we visited her at Villanova. She picked the restaurant. Tapas are small portions and they were. Service was very good The prices for the portions were a little high. I would go back.
