While visiting my daughter at Villanova she recommended that we eat dinner at this restaurant. She had heard the owner speak at a seminar regarding her business model of farm to table and sustainability and that interested her. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent, our server was very informed and walked the four of us through our choices.... More

Had a very nice lunch here yesterday. The nondescript office building doesn't give away from the outside that it house a wonderful restaurant. Cozy, canine inspired decor, friendly service, good bar and good food, all at reasonable prices.

A group of 5 met here for a semi-annual lunch. The special soup and mushroom soup were great. The entrees -- sandwiches, linguini and pappardelle -- were delicious. We shared one dessert so no one felt guilty. A little pricey, but fresh ingredients. We would go there again.

If you like dogs, you'll love the atmosphere. Otherwise I think the whole experience is over rated. Food is good, but not compelling, wine is good but marked up way too high. Service is ok but not great. Prices are outrageous! Will not return

Went with another couple for New Year's Eve which is not the best time to review a place. We were seated promptly at our arrival. The place was full but not overloaded with people. Service was fine, not especially attentive. The entrees were good but not great. I had the swordfish, 2 people had the mahi mahi and one the... More

Just the other day my friends and I had dinner reservations at The White Dog Cafe. By far the rudest people servicing any restaurant I've ever visited. Our party arrived before our 5:00 reservation. When I let the hostess know the entire party was there she said I will sit you closer to 5:00. At this point is was 4:55.... More

Great cozy and eclectic atmosphere. We especially loved the overwhelming dog theme. Food and service were great though the wine list and prices hold it back and don't fit with this upscale main line restaurant. Many of their wines are $6-$10 bottles they seem comfortable charging $50-$65 for. Not only is this a huge price stretch but the quality of... More

We have eaten at the White Dog Café in Wayne, New Jersey on several occasions. The food, staff, and atmosphere are excellent. You can choose a pub menu or a dinner menu in the restaurant. The pub is enjoyable, as you meet some very nice people whether you are sitting at the bar or standup tables in the bar area..... More

Have eaten at the Samson Street location for years and always had good to great food and equally great service. Am pleased to say that the Wayne location lived up to my expectations. They have small portions for many of the items on the menu which allows one to eat sensibly. Not a great selection of wine by the glass.... More
