wife and I both had Gyros and really enjoyed them. they have a ton of meat and the slaw stuff is great too. It's downtown, not too far from the courthouse in Little Washington. will return for another Gyro. we parked in the street and fed the meter. not sure if they have parking or not

Definitely the best gyros I've had! They also have great sandwiches. The XO sandwich and Hercules are awesome. Try the XO with the tzitaki sauce. Not sure why it doesn't come with it but it really makes the sandwich! They also have god wings and fries. I would also like to try their grape leaves but haven't yet. I think... More

This restaurant, under previous ownership, was fantastic. Friendly, excellent food, well-prepared. Tried it recently, and it has lost a lot of ground. Platters did not contain all the items specified on the menu. Falafel were like little flat rocks. Hummus was pasty and tasted only of garlic. Grape leaves had the stringy piece from the center of the leaf left... More

I was in Washington on business and didn't want to leave the hotel room. I had things delivered. Very quick, gracious clerk on the phone and delivery person. Very good food. I wasn't a huge fan of the stuffed grape leaves, but they weren't done poorly, just not to my tasted.

This is a small restaurant with indoor seating, but the excellence in service and the quality and quantity is definitely large. The people are very friendly and helpful. The menu is huge. The take-out service is excellent and speedy. The prices are reasonable. The food is out of this world. Try the French fries as they are superior. I took... More

I used to order from this place at least once a week when it was under previous ownership. I tried it recently and it tasted like my falafel was frozen before they burned it. The hummus was store-bought. And my friend, trying it for the first time was extremely underwhelmed with the gyro meat. He believed it was frozen as... More

This is the real deal. They cut the meat directly off the spinning rotisserie. A must if you are a gyro fan and in the area. The regular gyro is stuffed with alot of meat and a great value for $6!!!

Off the beaten path go find this little hole in the wall luncheonette type cafe. Nothing fancy looking. A family run and owned place with a real Greek cook turning out the real thing. I enjoyed avgelamino (sp?) soup loaded with white meat chicken and rice...yummy, and a plate of pierogies (mashed potatos, grilled onions packaged in ravioli type envelopes.)... More

Even though the friendly Greek couple who used to own it just retired, the new owner seems just as friendly and service-oriented, and the food hasn't changed. The old owners used to give us free baklava, cookies, watermelon, etc. every time we went just because we're college kids, and the new owner just gave us free ice cream. The food... More

I had already eaten lunch and was cruising through Washington on my way home (about an hour south) from working on the road, and I noticed Mr. Gyro's. I couldn't resist and went around the block, found a place in a parking spot in a lot right next to the place, and went in to get some take out for... More
