The atmosphere is nothing spectacular, although it does have a certain unique charm. The portions are huge, and the food is great. I particularly like their Roland's sauce, which is a spicy tomato-based sauce. If you like prime rib, theirs is great, but you usually have to call ahead and order it if you want to be guaranteed to get... More

Went here with a group after always ordering food to go. The decor inside and out needs some work. How much can those little black sign letters possibly cost? The inside looks like a church or fire hall. Nothing about it screams Italian. They have a big stage which is just a waste of space; they could prob. add several... More

This place is not child friendly. My toddler son began to cry before our dinners came to the table. So as any parent would do I started to pack our stuff up to take him to the truck when I was asked to remove him from the restaurant. Not only is the management rude so are the customers. You would... More

The food was fair. Too much spice in the meatballs. We came on prime rib night and couldn't get prime rib without reserving it in advance. We were therefor over two hours to get a mediocre meal. The staff was friendly but unorganized.

This place is not pleasing to the eye, but the food is super. You HAVE TO GET the prime rib special. It is the size of a football, bone on, and is perfectly seasoned. Makes your mouth water. I think you have to call ahead to reserve a prime rib dinner. Do it!!!!!!!

Although this was our first visit to this restaurant, we were anxious to try it as we had heard mixed reviews concerning it. The building is very old and certainly doesn't look attractive from the outside. The parking lot was small. However, when you entered, it certainly changed. The servers were very friendly and welcomed us to the establishment. The... More

A hotel desk clerk recommended this place but she also said, "don't get frightened by the outside, the food is REALLY good." She was absolutely correct. The outside of the place looks like a run down old hall (which is kind of what it is - an old dance hall.) The food was surprisingly good. We stop through Washington a... More

...this had been our first time and were pleasantly suprised. It does look like a pit from the outside and the post holding up the ceiling in the main diningroom is a bit off setting, but the food is great and in huge quantities. The stuffed peppers were perfect and I heard no complaints from the assembled. Great on-tap beer... More

I hesitate to write a review that criticizes an obviously poular local spot but I think there are two sides to every story. To qualify our review we were arriving after a 12 hour drive and were hungry and tired. This is obviously an old historical buiding and as such a little rough. The place was packed and for us... OK.... I'll admit I almost didn't go inside because the outside looked so bad....BUT, I remembered what I read here and took a chance. Very glad we did. It is definitely popular with the locals so it fills up by 6pm. Unfortunately, their A/C was broken in the dining room (it was 100 inside there and outside) so we ate... More
