A Journey to the Past, Brightly

Be careful driving into the parking lot as there might be a chicken or another critter waiting to greet you. If not, on a lovely day you will most likely be welcomed by a pleasant group of locals relaxing on the front porch. In short, if it's a Mayberry setting you are looking for, this is it. Nice. No coffee chains here. Personality and originality good breakfast sandwich and coffee. Had nice visit on a lazy day visiting ringing rocks. Great place for meal or snack. Staff was very nice. I would go back just to eat there again.

Keep your Starbucks and Artesian Civet Bean Coffees. You want to sit down and have a decent cup of coffee? Go right here. They also serve sandwiches and baked goods. Take a seat and hang out. The locals on the porch don't bite.

I have been dropping in to the Homestead General Store off and on over the last 3 years. 1st.the food. I have had a number of different wraps. Chicken &tuna salds I recommend highly. 2. The portions are huge vs. price. Excellent value. The coffee! The selection of premium freshbeans that are roasted in small batches are amazing. The quality... More

After our adventures at the Ringing Rocks of Upper Black Eddy, PA, my daughter and our exhausted Jack Russell Terrier, located this quaint, cozy, scenic, and dog friendly general and coffee store. Our lunch/dinner was scrumptious, the variety of sodas took you back in time, and the view from all directions was exactly what you'd expect to see and hear... More

Great pancakes, and the breakfast platter is big enough to fill anyone. Sitting in the old general store with friends in Upper Bucks County, it doesn't get any better than this.

Just walking near the door makes you want to go in and look around. Cute shop and cookies are yummy! But coffee is the best!

This is a pretty place just shy of Ringing Rocks Park. The coffee was good, and they had some handmade soap for sale that smelled really good. What was shocking was the grind your own peanut butter in the middle of the store that had drips all around it, peanut butter cookies in plastic wrap, and shared scoops for the... More

This place mainly caters to a morning and afternoon crowd, and produces great coffee and a decent breakfast. Do not show up at 4 p.m. and expect to be served anything, because pretty much by then it's only coffee and a general store. The sidewalks are rolled up by 5 p.m. in rural Bucks County. This isn't Wegman's or Giant;... More
