Almost Hate to Let Others Know About This Nice Place

This is a very upscale restaurant that happens to be a BYOB. Food is excellent, as is the service. Small, quaint, and nicely appointed.

Decided to have breakfast at Catherine's after church with my son. We were early so did not have trouble being seated. Ate outside. Very pleasant. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes. Very nice but I would have liked blueberries in the batter. My son ordered a burger that made his eyes roll into his head. A lovely treat for Mom.

Every now and then my wife and I find ourselves in the Kennett Square area around dinner time and we head to a great little restaurant which we love....Catherine's!! It is in an old converted General store. This little Gem is a must do!!Ambience is true casual ,elegance !

A restored general store in Unionville sitting on the corner of Routes 82 and 162. Small round tables fill up the main dining room. There is a "Chef's Table" closer to the kitchen which seats 6 to 8 diners. We had dinner several years back at the Chef's Table and enjoyed Easter Brunch this week. Brunch had a distinctly family... Valentine's dinner was extra special at this unique BYOB dining location. It's a former house with rustic details, complete with church benches, antique furniture and adjacent cozy garden. This meal was a prix fixe, but I will return to check out their extensive, eclectic menu. Our service was attentive and the ambiance was very nice. Because it consists of one... More

Got there for a 6:30 reservation. Parking lot was icey and we got the very last parking spot. Restaurant was so noisy, we couldn't enjoy our company. Server was very scarce (waited 30 min. Between dinner and dessert). Water has a horrible sulfur odor. My friend suggested they use bottled water. The server replied "well water is good for you"........ More

We had dinner ant this cosy BYOB after touring Longwood Gardens. It's out in the country but was easy to find. The converted house has a rustic feel with wooden tables and dim lighting. Our food was very good. Warm bread and a tomato basil pesto-type topping was served as soon as we were seated (water was already on the... More

My wife and I visited Catherine's on a Saturday night in November. It was our second visit. Our first visit was several years ago. This is a local BYOB with good ambiance. The establishment was about 1/2 full at 7pm. I ordered the mushroom/crab soup which was very good. My wife ordered the scallops which where OK. For our main... More

A friend and I had dinner at Catherine's on a weekday night. The restaurant was about one third full , six tables maybe fourteen people, one server. As a result the server was very busy but she was excellent and we were very well taken care of. The food very well thought out with delicious combinations . I started with... More

3 Couples visited Catherine's Oct 2014 for the first time. we will be back. The food is great as well as the service. It's a converted general store so the room was a bit load and crowded but that is part of the charm. You certainly get what you pay for. Portions are good size and expertly prepared. For parties...
